Keep getting error msg from ITG2 arcade machine

Postby zyzfcs on Wed Jul 30, 2008 11:33 pm

Ive downloaded some songs from this website and I would like to play them on ITG2 arcade machine, so I saved all the songs on my USB. After reading FAQ I removed all the files from USB because Ive never used my USB on ITG2 arcade machine before and I just wanted to play a round or two of normal songs on ITG2 with my stick in the machine ( just like the FAQ said). So I took this empty USB and put it in ITG2 arcade machine.
Here is the error msg I got after I inserted my USB ( I tried my USB on both PLAYER1 and Player2 slots)

" card mount error" ????

Could someone please explain to me y is the machine keep showing me that error msg?
Thanks

The machine is R23

Yes, I don't know if the FAQ mentions that you have to put the USB stick in BEFORE you start your game. That could be it. Also, make sure of the rest of the above as well.

Additionally, any USB stick that has "extra" software on it probably won't work. The simpler the USB stick, the better.

Yes I did put it in b4 I started

HELLFIRE QUESTION: DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE ANYTING IN YOUR CARD?
I deleted all the files, theres nothing in my USB

HOLY SHIT IT'S HOT QUESTION: IS YOUR ARCADE'S USB PORTS SCREWED?[/quote]
No

OK, Im kinda new, when you 1st time use USB on arcade machine, do you have to create an empty file and name it " something" b4 you put it in the machine or it dosent matter just a pure empty USB

Did you uninstall U3 and format it to FAT32?

U3 is some crappy flash drive software that sucks and no one should use it. It may have come preinstalled on your card. Basically, it's made for Windows (and thus is an .exe), but ITG runs off Linux. So, more often than not, you'll get a card mount error when you insert the drive into the machine, as U3 tries to run the .exe but Linux doesn't know what to do with it.

If you have nothing important on your card: plug it in, go to My Computer, right click the drive, and hit format. A dialogue should pop up. Choose FAT32 as the file system and hit "format". When it's done, go back to your arcade and see if that works. If not, it's possible the USB readers are dying, as many are across the country. Check with friends to see if their cards work.

Some cards just plain old don't work.
I think the one I used to have that didn't work was a Lexar JumpDrive or something like that.

That's weird, because I use the 128MB version of the Kingston USB, and it works beautifully. Either something's different with the 2GB version, of there is something wrong with your machine's card reader.
