We start a new era of r21freak.

But yeah, I feel like everything that needs to be said has been said. My only problem would have been an easier way to find simfilies from people but we have DivinElegy for that.

Facebook and Stepmania.com make up more of my referral traffic than r21freak does (and I've only advertised it here), most people don't actually know to check DivinElegy (or even know what it is).

We'll see how these developments change that over time I guess.

Joe brought up a good point to me. Old staff are now re-eligible for FotW.

I actually think the current FoTW setup is a tired format, the reviews contain so much depth but with every new wave of FoTW helpers I find these reviews to peter out either because they lose the motivation or they find it difficult to articulate their presentation.

While I can appreciate from a newbie and step artist perspective that there's something very special about having your simfile picked apart, expanded upon and glorified for the entire forum to see I think the same effect can still be achieved with much less required by the helpers.

I don't exactly have any ideas for a better format, but I think there is room for improvement especially if it results in a file actually announced every week, something to possibly think about later down the track IMO.

EDIT: Also are you gonna change the site design at all? I think everything's positioned fine but I think a new banner in your art style would kick ass, as well as an updated colour scheme too.

So, for the Legend on the bottom of the index that says "Admins, FotW Helpers, Mods, Staff File Makers" which are colored even though they're not colored on the forums (for some reason), is that also going to be addressed with this removal?

I'll look into that, but there's a chance that I won't touch it.

We had this discussion, I don't know if Psychotik is going to change it but a very viable and reasonable alternative was brought up.

Considering we condensed it so retired staff names don't show up on the index, I feel like still having these is fair game. Especially for those that might not linkback to their old forums in their sigs.

That being said, I'm not particularly attached to them and wouldn't be sad to see them go. Just trying to explain the reasoning for why they serve some purpose.
