This is literally all I was going by, I'm bad at judging difficulties any more specifically than the base number.

Oh yeah that thing.
I'm just guessing pope put that as scoring difficulty or something because I passed all the supposed "hard" 14's WAY before I even passed Heart of a Dragon.
As to the banner, I have no idea who actually made it but it's on my local dedicab as well, only as a fallback.

I always assumed whoever was responsible for hacking the local dedicab made that banner back when the Groovestats folder was put on, but if MaxX has the same banner then I have no idea. And yeah, it's Naota's chart; on its Groovestats page he said something along the lines of "why the hell are you people playing this on pad?".

Really been strengthening my 215 - 230 for 16-32 measures, and things are feeling really good!

Whazamup is one of the harder 17s imo. That last run is FULL of candles. Some easier 17s are:
Love Hurts
Facebreaker
Yellow Supernova

They're just a little faster.

Not familiar with Facebreaker... is it the Sssc2 steps or a different one? I don't truly believe that Yellow Supernova is a real 17- i came super close to it once but felt a bit let down, kinda like the way people weren't sure about Perditus Paradisus being a 16. Would love to knock Love Hurts though... that's probably my favorite 17 overall. But until my 215, 225 and 230-240 range is really strong (i stop getting lots of combo breakers), I don't feel any hurry to speed the process up. I'll just do it when it happens

The 154 bpm LR drill from the Supernova CS mission mode. I saw the last arrows scroll by when I was walking up to take the screenshot.

I have to disagree with Pope on Love Hurts vs Whazamup haha. Whazamup was the 3rd 17 I passed; it feels on the lower end to me as far as passing, but it's a bitch to score on because of the candles and 24ths. Love Hurts was a bit harder for me to pass for the first time. Yellow Supernova and Holy Macaroni (SSSC2) are the lowest 17s there are.

Was Arvin's Diavolo kept at 17 or bumped down? I seem to recall it wasn't super difficult, and alot of the harder songs in Fast Track seemed easier than what they were rated...

At the moment i'm really just gunning 215-230. I haven't tried any serious 240 stuff, so I feel my experience there is still lacking. Rather than focus only on the speed of my legs, I'm more interested in how I can turn my body back and forth very quickly, something I only first noticed in Matt's Bokura. The trend in writing speed charts seems to be shuffling back and forth on the brackets at 240-260 and twisting the body from left to right every measure.

Beat my second 10 footer (Applejack Theme). I'm on the right (if that wasn't obvious XD)

Diavolo is pretty much universally agreed to be a 16. It's not too hard. Some of the others are misrated: Jehovah's YaHVeH he just forgot to rerate to a 16 (though that's a pretty hard 16), The Eternal Return is a hard 17.

As you get to higher and higher speeds, sustaining runs becomes like exponentially harder. Even going from 230 to 240 was pretty hard for me. As for patterning, yeah, a lot of speed charts have pretty similar patterns that do that, but there are exceptions such as Be Careful which is really candle-dense in most of the runs. You need to have a good balance of ability to move your feet quickly and being able to turn quickly and efficiently. If something is more dense with turns try to face forward and just use your lower body.

Figuring out i'm almost able to pass solid 13's in my socks is my only accomplishment for today.
That and nearly throwing up after 3 stamina songs in 1 round with an hour of 11's before hand. No breaks either. Yea today was pretty tiring. But nothing major.

It's much easier playing bare foot (I was able to pass "E.P.M." and some speedcores almost <<>> Shitty stamina I've got D: ) But i wasn't playing a lot, so I'm not sure that I'ļl pass "Reasons To Live" or "Above the winter moonlight", probably it'll take 2 weeks to pass them again for me, maybe. :)
I was able to pass some 12's nobar too, but really shitty, smthing like 78%.
Month ago I've passed "Level 1-1" somehow ... 14'sx with looong 16th streams on 197 BPM, very tiring song for me.
