How to Speedup a song?

Postby FURR on Thu Feb 23, 2012 3:24 pm

i Mean how to do something like a speedy mix ?
just like making a song faster if i feel it's a bit slow > ~ to 140% speedup ?
I wan't to try to speedup Metallica songs and make out of them a chart. i feel they're quite slow to step an original id say the song is 100% > to make it faster to 160% or something

Metallica would drift like crazy, trying to chart it would be much more trouble than it's worth. Also what you're asking for sounds like you could just chart the original song and rate mod it. Making an actual speedy remix requires a music-making program.

i don't have rate mod. Our "newbie-pro players" don't want to set it up on arcade. > If i had it i'd rather wouldn't ask how to speed it up.
So it's possible in music-making programs ?

I have software that will speed it up, but retain the pitch. Upload the song to mediafire (or other filehost), pm me the link and I can speed it up for you without him sounding like a chipmunk... (if you want).

Actually audacity can do it too. I gave the wrong command D:

Use change tempo instead of change speed

no matter what pitch or tempo, you won't be able to make kirk bend properly.

You're going to have to change the simfile's BPMs as well. Keep that in mind.

Sync too if the sound doesn't begin right away.
