Staff Positions

I'm against it because the staff positions sort of give me a goal to achieve, to help push myself and keep at it. I honestly don't know how to explain it further, but that's the most straightforward answer I can give.

This is also one of my main reasons. It might seem silly but it definitely helps me improve my simfile work; a goal of sorts so I can get better and better at stepartistry (wasn't that the point of the staff in the first place? At least I think it was one of the points).

It's true that there are a lot of good steppers nowadays but even so there are still only a few that shine above the rest of us IMO. And lets face it; a lot of the current staff still have packs that hardly anyone has even come close to in terms of quality (again IMO).

How would the FTP space be divided? What would happen with regards to that? It would still show some sort of favoritism, I imagine.

Back in the days (before I was put into "retired", and before the current staffs became staffs) there wasn't any favoritism on the staff people really, when this site was infamous for massive gimmicky files.

I just want to know how the FTP space would be dispersed. I think it would show inherent favoritism if people's "staff" titles were stripped away from them but they still had an FTP server here.

Besides, can't you get FTP space by donating to the board anyway? It's not like it's been a staff-member only thing

I'm not suggesting that, I just think it's something you can't avoid. People will notice and feel slighted.
