Machine was sold like three months ago.
man this is so irrelevant sooooo irrelevant
Relevance is dwindling number of people that still actually play this game anymore. What is irrelevant though, is Jordan Boysvirt.

mudkyp wrote:If this were a serious inquiry about a new staff position, why or why wouldn't I get it? I would like to turn this thread into a discussion of who should be the next staff member, that way people that are not on the staff list can also contribute. I think the regular members deserves as much of a say as the staff and administrators, no?
Let's say the four candidates were:
-CosmicPope
-ChaosUnown
-mudkyp (myself)
-Spooty Biscuit
Here's my schpiel. Feel free to post a response or counter-argument to my points.
I've posted multiple critiques and reviews (and rather lengthy ones) of released simfiles, I've done a lot of my own graphics and have improved with those as well. My syncing is consistent and accurate (and even helped to improve mute's method). My song selection is varied and I have casual charts that appeal to all players as well as overly technical charts for tournament play. I have written a concise tutorial and FAQ for speed ups and wave gimmicks. I have contributed to the latest group pack as well as offered feedback for that. I am usually one of the first few posters when it comes to troubleshooting the game, SM, an actual ITG machine or an upgrade. I am knowledgeable on a variety of issues regarding the game, either hardware or software based. I have also just released a new pack as well as a compilation of revised charts, showing that I'm dedicated to improving my craft and taking what is bad and fixing it. I am always open to criticism and have made several strides towards finding a great balance of what everybody wants in simfiles.
I bring variety. I think staff members should be steppers that not only represent r21freak, but the entire community's wants and needs. I think r21freak should strive to grow and appeal towards more players who prefer different things. The staff list should be like a SUPER WALMART, not Home Depot, which it currently is. A new user who registers at r21freak should be able to find "their" preferred staff member. Like, the guy that appeals to them the most. The current state of r21freak bothers me. I feel it's just the opposite of AIJ, elitist in a different way. I feel that there is already too much of the same thing when it comes to simfile approaches on the staff list, and nominating someone like ChaosUnown or Spooty Biscuit would further that viewpoint, as well as the one that the staff members are all "friends" and "cliquey".
You may believe it is pretentious to ask for a staff position here, but I know that I would contribute in a positive way and I honestly do believe that it is quite overdue. I have not acted out of line or caused any drama like I have on AIJ, (though the moderation here is much more lax), and have no plans to start. I feel as though either myself or CosmicPope would contribute the most to this community in becoming the next staff members, and have much more to offer to r21freak and the community on a whole than the other two "top candidates".
I also want to express that I absolutely love the charts of ChaosUnown and Spooty Biscuit and in no way want to encourage them to stop doing what they are doing. I think they are wonderful step artists who definitely inspire me to keep doing what I am doing.
Regardless this is a game we all love playing. Let the chips fall where they may.
