...fuck off with the syncing requests. Seriously. I get a few every week and I have neither the time nor the energy to sync all the drifty, mangled waveforms you people conjure up. 90% of the time when somebody sends me a syncing request, it's something they could've done themselves in 5-10 minutes simply by following my syncing guide. I wrote that shit to show you people that syncing is easy and you're often just over-thinking it.
The reason why all my files are consistently synced is because I don't rip poorly mastered audio from YouTube, cut songs randomly in Audacity, trust MixMeister, guess file offsets with keyboard FA, or any combination of the above. And aside from that, pick better songs to step. Too lazy to figure out complex bpms? Then at least stick to stepping electronic music with a consistent bpm so the worst you can do is fuck up the offset.
I'm gonna blow your minds here guys, check this out:
Syncing is not some fantastically difficult process that takes years of practice and requires a degree in mathematics. All you have to do is look at points in the audio waveform (Audacity) and compare them to points in the simfile ("Current Seconds" in SM's Edit Mode). You are just reading two sets of numbers.
I will say that again: YOU ARE JUST READING TWO SETS OF NUMBERS. That is all you are doing. If you are too lazy or stupid to read some numbers and compare them, offsync simfiles are the least of your problems.
Any future syncing requests I get in my inbox will be responded to with a copy of Max 300 from zenius-i-vanisher.com. Enjoy.
