Re: Whats the highest difficulty rating youve passed ON DOUB

@Slayer: Yeah, I can see considering Valenti DX a 13. It's definitely harder than most of the 12s I've passed. Passing Valenti depends more on having good traction than the 12 footers.
As for TKOD, I'm able to pass it with about the same regularity as 12s, which makes it seem easier than the 13s.

Forgot to mention an easy 12 on my list: sssmsm's v1 DM chart for Inner Universe. It has pad changing crossovers all over the place, to the point where when I was pad testing charts for the pack, it was harder at 0.7x rate than the DH chart at 0.7x rate. I passed it a few weeks back with the bar.

Edit:
Played Bringin' It Back DX with C500, passed with a 77.56%. That is the most godawful horrible doubles chart I have ever played. The stupid double step loaded chart I generated for Clowns is better than Bringin' It Back DX. I'm not playing it again unless someone pays me.

@Kyzentun
Yeah Valenti is definitely a 13 even though it has less than 500 steps.
The footwork is so damn hard.
Although an easy 13, so I call it a 13-

I think it's because you made the chart, lol.
It is very hard and tiring.
I still pass it like, 1 of 4ish times.

I've had a few try it in my area who can do ! and Energizer and gave up in rage after trying it.

It's more like a bunch of little charts put together.
I played it once or twice for kicks.
Yeah the double stepping parts aren't fun.

Bringin' It Back is stupid, absolutely. But I honestly enjoy it. There's really not much double stepping in it though aside from the step jumps in Toads house, just tremendously stupid crossovers through most of the rest.

Bringin' it Back is such a fun chart. I don't care if it looks like it was stapled together with too many staples. It's just so hilariously good.

11, no bar. Close to 12s. Almost passed Monolith DX.

Actually if BiB is considered a consensus 13 I can definitely do that. I'm pretty good at bullshitting stuff like that and I really liked KKKKK Come On from a while back.

I upped my score on TKOD DX to 82%. I think what makes it hard is that it has a lot of candleish steps, where your foot moves further than it would in a candle, but you don't have to pivot. I'm still leaning more towards rating it a 12. I'd like to hear what other people think of it though, since AFAIK Slayer and I are the only ones who have played it and passed. Anyone who does should PM me for the updated chart (removed the spin before the stream, changed the rhythm on an odd rhythm part, nothing major changed)

Also, I played Rockhill Gloves Edit at 0.8x rate. Feels like an easy 12 at that speed (112 bpm). I got 92%, so next time I'll be attempting 0.9x rate.

Trust me it's a 13. I have a harder time passing it than every 13 I've passed. It took me 15-20 attempts to pass it. There's 3 difficult areas for me.

1. The part in the beginning after the freeze (with the afro-nova style steps) before it is broken up with jumps.
2. Hand section if using hands for all of it.
3. The very end when each foot is one a different pad doing while double-stepping at the same time (and super stretched)

It's more stamina draining than Energizer or Dazzling Destiny if you do the hands with your hands.
(It's very hard to not do them as hands because of the placement which is part of what makes it a good chart).
(I find it more tiring than doing PFB + Energizer back-to-back)

I'm surprised you haven't passed the easier 13s since you can do TKOD and !.
I feel you should have no problem with PFB or Energizer.

PFB is mainly footspeed in a few areas.
Energizer is only tricky in the very beginning (those hands) or at the slow down if you can't read it.
I play it either 1.5 overhead or 2x mini.

I have 2 friends who can pass Energizer DX who are unable to pass TKOD.

Those 3 sections are the hardest parts of TKOD for me too, mostly. I consider the section with gallops interspersed with hands to be harder than the drum solo with the hands.

For me, all the twisting back and forth in the gallops and streams in ! DX is what makes it hard for me. It's more mentally tiring because it's so counterintuitive, which makes it harder to concentrate on energy saving technique.

Energizer, I haven't tried in over a year because of the slowdown, and there weren't cmods on the local machine until a month or so ago. I remember a couple years ago being able to consistently get past the slowdown with a cmod, but running out of stamina in the first or second stream after the slowdown. With that in mind, I'm going to go cmod Energizer DX again tomorrow.

I passed PFB once several months ago, but forgot to put it on my list. PFB also didn't seem substantially harder than Monolith, so I'm not sure it should be a 13.

Dazzling Destiny I don't really have any hope of passing because I don't have that kind of footspeed. Pandemonium DX was hard for me to keep up with, and it has shorter streams and is slower. TKOD being 140 bpm makes a huge difference, it's not a speed I have to struggle to maintain.

Now I'm curious which 13s you consider easier, though we're kinda drifting off topic here.

13- = easier than your average 13, but difficult enough to be a 13
13 = standard 13
13+ difficult for a 13, but not hard enough to be a 14-

Order is easiest to hardest for me:

13-s:
Pink Fuzzy Bunnies
Valenti (Kyzentun I do consider this an easier 13, the footwork gets ridiculous and is harder than PFB imo)
Bringing it Back
Silikon
Lilium

13s:
Energizer
The Soul Receiver
!
Amen Iraq
Water Cube
Dazzling Destiny (2nd favorite 13 chart)
I Sawed The Demons (starts easy but the jumps get brutal)
Burning Pipers Hut

13+s
Hasse Miche (double stepping and stamina killer, most difficult 13 stamina-wise, minefield!!)
The Koan of Drums (most difficult 13 IMO technique/foot work-wise/hands)

Lilium (nobar ofc), but since I don't really play doubles otherwise, it'd have to be 11b.

Bumping so people don't forget the doubles version of the poll, and the difficulty difference between single and double has grown. The singles poll now goes 11-20 while doubles poll is still at 5-14.

I've now passed One False Move DH and Tribal Style DH, both of which are 9s. Might start working on the DX 9's soon.

You may want to add 15, and 16.
I don't think anyone's passed the 16 yet.
I know at least 1 person has passed a 15.
