if I ever plan to release it I'll make a cut but for now I need stamina and don't mind repetitiveness in a song all that much

It looks like a 12 to me. It's similar to Evocation from Tachyon Gamma. It's longer but 240 8ths are like 10-11 level really.

Another rating question.

I have a song with an almost unbroken ~35 second 220 16th stream at the beginning, the middle part is roughly a 12 or so, and the ending is a almost unbroken ~45 second 220 BPM 16th stream. What exactly do I rate this?

Hmmmm. I was comparing it to Cry of the Brave. The longest stream in that is 11 measures long, and aside from that there's no super long streams in it. CotB is a minute and a half longer, and the stuff outside the streams is harder, but I think this might be a full point above CotB just for the length of that last part. CotB is also a bit slower, BPMwise.

I have it as an easier 17 for now, but I mean there's people who think Ub3r R4ve (similar chart structure but slower) is a 12 and I find it quite hard so who knows. I will also never pass this and may also never release it so this discussion might be moot to begin with  . Thanks for the input.

A lot of people like to compensate for certain things by underrating charts

anyways have a really shitty framerate video of the chart for comparison

45 seconds of 220 is outrageous, so I'm assuming the other guys didn't catch that part and only saw the first stream you mentioned. Even then, though, 32 seconds of 220 stream is still well beyond 16 territory. The framerate on that video is too awful for me to tell much about the patterns, but it definitely seems pretty insane to me.

Yeah really even if it's a 12 in the middle your putting in like Miasma stepcharting in two places (probably harder patterns too, seeing as Miasma mostly has tower runs). That'd be like calling DIYAT a 16.

Patterns are designed intentionally to have no candles and very few sudden shifts in direction --- but also still have movement throughout the whole thing [no drills].

Also yea sorry about that framerate I think I might need to adjust some things in Camtasia

Drills are a lot easier than simple patterns, even if there's barely any movement.
