Boku wa Tomodachi whatever was actually a lot better than I was expecting it to be, I think I will continue watching it.

I'm watching P4, F/Z and UN-GO. I also read the Fate route of Fate/Stay Night over the weekend when I was sick. I liked it, though the sex scenes were awkward and annoying, and the harem cliches following the first one were also annoying.

I watched the first two episodes of Ben-to and thought it was dumb. It's really popular, but I only like a couple things about it, and I dislike several.

Watching Persona 4: The Animation. I'm already seeing a few differences from the game, but it's still really good nonetheless.

Also need to finish up Cromartie High.

Right now I think I'm narrowing down my watch list this season to Fate/Zero and Working`!! I read/watched Fate/Stay Night when it was new and that was when I loved the Type-Moon universe. F/Z looks like it will not disappoint. Working`!! has a cast of characters that are entertaining, though not particularly lovable. Their interactions with each other make it a fun show to watch.

I cut out Persona 4 and Chihayafuru out of my watch list. I feel like watching P4 the animation is just going to be a waste of time after playing through all of it and getting the true ending, so I pretty much know exactly what's going to happen. Chihayafuru, I thought it was going to be a shoujo type of thing, but it turned out to be "sport" anime about karuta, and I don't really give a groove about karuta.

I haven't even finished season 1 of Squid Girl, so I doubt I'll even get to the second season anytime soon.

I thought the first 4 eps of Persona 4 were pretty enjoyable even after having played through the game, for what it's worth. Haven't seen ep5 yet but apparently it's good too.

4 really is not that bad at all. Even with 3 you only need to minimally grind, and that's if you have no idea what you're doing. The only time I had to grind for 4 was when I was going for the true end (post-"normal" boss), and even then it was not much grinding at all. It also helps that on the whole the Persona spin-off deal is much much much easier than the traditional SMT series (especially when comparing it to shit like Nocturne).

I don't play a lot of RPGs, but I didn't think 3 or 4 were nearly as hard as some people say. 4 is easier overall, but 3 is easier in the early game, so I'd recommend starting with P3FES. Besides that, 4 improved upon 3 in a couple ways that will make it easier, I think, to go from 3 to 4 than from 4 to 3. I kinda grind a lot when I play the games, but mostly in the late game when I'm just grinding for the sake of getting to a really high level and being able to fuse the coolest-looking personae >.>

And Psychotik, I'm curious what you think of the P4 anime so far, having not played the game. To me, it seems so far like an above-average video game adaptation, but one that still pales in comparison to the actual game for obvious reasons, and also one that would be unable to stand on its own merits if it were an original work and not an adaptation. They have to rush through things to fit everything into 24 episodes, which sucks but it unavoidable. Yu DOES at least have a few lines and some tiny semblance of a personality, but far from what I'd call acceptable for the hero of the anime. The rest of the cast is pretty blah so far, too, compared to their video game counterparts (Ai and Kou's links in the last episode, for instance, were pathetic compared to in game), though they can at least be considered "characters." Again, I understand that they don't have time to do all the characters justice, but that's a problem for me, and one of a couple reasons I don't think this anime ever should have been made to begin with. The fights are okay, I guess, but not as good as anything from an actual good fighting anime. The art style mimics the style of the game very well, but the animation is pretty bad 90% of the time. The music is solid, but considering 90% of it is lifted straight from the game, it ought to be. I have it sitting at a 5/10 right now on MAL, for "average," but it still has time to climb up to a 6 or 7 later on, or even drop lower.

...And I have no idea why Joe said to skip 3 and play 4, because 3 is awesome.

EDIT: Also, Nocturne is hard as groove. I died and it sent me back like 900 hours, so I haven't picked it back up since >.>
