Next Collab Pack?

Postby MdX MaxX on Sun Apr 24, 2011 5:10 pm

Are there any plans for another r21freak collab pack? I joined in 2010, so I didn't get to participate in any collaborations. I think it'd definitely be fun.

If someone doesn't start organizing one, I'm up for doing it. Regardless, I'm participating. :D

I just lost my job, so I'm willing to step something if it starts up fast enough.

Who decides it and how is it done? I'm good at organizing shit, so I'll gladly just post up a thread where we can brainstorm a theme for the files and shit.

Well, Summer is beginning. That's a fairly easy theme to accomplish.

This the subforum for r21BiB which was the last official collab pack of this site. You can check this forum to see how everything went to get a fairly good idea on how everything was done.

We haven't done a site pack in forever, so I think this summer would be a great time to start a new one. I'm not sure if Blazing will follow sssmsm's approach on who makes the charts, though.

If this goes down in the summer, I'll make doubles charts.

I would hope not. I understand that it's a drag having to play through a bunch of crappy charts before you come to the gems, but I'm also not too keen on the idea of alienating people before they even have a chance. By allowing more flexibility on chart submissions, we'll have a greater influx of songs to consider using for the pack.

I'd say just let anyone submit a file and simply only include the top xx%. No need for reviews so long as the general opinion is pretty honest.

I kinda like the way r21BiB was done. Just step the expert and fill in the rest. We would still need full charts though. I don't have a problem stepping a ton of lower level charts (I made like 30 novice-medium charts in r21twins) and I'll actually have time this summer. I'll also step doubles.

I think Blazing said he had stuff planned. I don't know what those plans are or if a pack is involved, but I think anything that does happen should be led by him.

I'm going to step lower charts and they will be great

Maybe I'll even step expert if I'm allowed

I don't even know how to step anything below expert, so if only staff can step expert files in the "official" collaboration packs, somebody needs to organize an "unofficial" one.
