Yeah you met me... I was an observer at the tournament... was there only because a certain someone didn't have any other option for a ride.

We talked a little bit about your stepchart for "Now and Forever"... i remember that much.

Wow, then if I ever see you at a future FR event, I'm gonna try not saying too much

I get hurt more being put down in person than over the internet.

Well I just joined but I think if this website keeps having interesting comps it'll be a long while before this site is done

To be honest, as long as people still play the game, I feel as though this site will still be alive. Changed a bit with time? yes. but dead? nope.

I feel like the world of dance pad gaming is dying, making me wonder whether I should continue to make files or not (is anyone going to play them?)

if it's still up, I'll probably be kicking around once in a while.

Forums come and go year after year even if the users dedicate themselves to the place. A steady decline is inevitable, but as long as my arcade still have itg, I see no reason to move on yet.

Luke I often have that dilemma myself. I know most of the charts I make nobody will give two grooves about, but in the end i just make them for my own enjoyment. I step songs I like not just because they're sTePpAbLe, but because I enjoy them and the thing about sm/itg that we take for granted so often is our unlimited song choice potential. As long as making files and playing the game remains fun, it's all good.

RODD, you're being a baby lol. People troll on the internet - ignore it. If only you could read the shit Monst3rjoe texts to me lol (it's golden). Post your scores. Just because people don't comment doesn't mean they don't notice. And if you are only getting scores for praise, you're probably playing for the wrong reasons.

My scores get overlooked on AIJ just as often as newer players, so don't take it too hard. Just play the game and have fun. If people act stupid, ignore 'em.

I came because I heard people liked gimmicks, so I released my Pollinosis file. I also wanted to share more files and play other people's files. It was fun :D

Every year (more like every day) someone on this forum posts about how the community is going downhill and how it'll never last, and every year the community evolves and continues to exist. With the dance game community the way it is, it's unlikely that r21freak will ever grow too much bigger, but as long as there's interest we'll still be here to aid in the proliferation and advancement of simfiles. There will also definitely be more events after Comp VI, and hopefully we can keep the site going for a while. :)

I'll gladly run DRAFT '11. If you missed out last year, that will no longer be a problem. Everyone will be eligible so long as they are interested since there will no longer be a participant cap.

As for where I'll be in 5 years, probably not here. As was mentioned earlier, arcades have been closing down left and right, and I've been having less and less time to travel out to NJ. I've gradually lost interest in ITG over the last 2 years, primarily the competitive aspect. After playing dance games for 8 years, I'm content at this point playing charts I find fun no matter how well or poorly I do.

I joined this site when I was still at the height of my interest in ITG. I heard about the r2112 Pack in 2007 back when SMGroove was still around. I signed up and downloaded the pack out of curiosity once I saw MacGravel was involved. I forgot about the site for a while and came back a year later. I stuck around because I like the people I've met through this community.

This would be aweeesome

I've always wondered if biannual comps would work out. Winter is normally good with SSS, Spring has Comp, Summer no one really cares because it's summer, and Autumn always seems the most dead. On the one hand a lot of people are getting back into school in autumn, but I still think another Comp happening then could potentially be great and prime the pump for SSS.

I've been looking forward for the next DRAFT for a while now.
