I hate to use an r21freak Comp cliché, but the overall quality of these files is far greater than that of past competitions. I'm really excited and pleased by the effort you guys put into these submissions. Figuring out just how to rank all 35 of these is going to be a serious challenge.

I'd say my grade average for these would be something like TEEX's C+/B- though I'd probably lean towards the B-

So when could we send in our files with our extra Diffs/BGs/Banners?

Both of the grades I've gotten so far in my classes are B- so I'll take that as a win

I have one grade worse than a B+ in 6 years of college so that's damning as hell by my standards hahaha

I guess anything I've given a fantastic or a really high exceltastic. I've only ever given out a handful of fantastics in the past couple years, and the upper echelon of exceptional exceltastics is far from frequent, too. A fantastic means the simfile is basically flawless; the chart displays an expert understanding of step placement, creativity, variety, and straight up fun. Really really good exceltastics fall slightly short of that, but are still extraordinary.

As for actual examples, see most of Mootz' recent simfiles for fantastics or near-fantastics. IIRC I gave mute's Last Burning a fantastic, along with a few others by him; also joe#2's Spiral 2005; also Revolver's March Of The Big Dogs. Aaand probably some others that I can't remember right now. Basically really really good stuff.

SUBJECTIVEMANIAS.

I think there are guidelines that people can draw as to what's accepted and generally correct, but I'd say about 30% of stepcharts is arbitrary fun factor that a lot of players differ on.
