OK, so apparently nobody knows how to cut songs. Here, have a guide.

There are two main ways to cut a song:
Song Cutting Method 1
Step 1 - Don't cut the song at all, just step the full song! Yes, all 8.5 minutes of that DJ Tiësto song. If you find yourself struggling to fill the space, just copy and paste random stream patterns.
Step 2 - TRAVEL BACK IN TIME and upload your simfile to Groovestats. (Be sure to encode your ogg file at the lowest possible quality setting so that it will be under 5 MB and therefore playable from USB drives.)
Now sometimes, you will run out of Groovestats upload tokens or you will want to step a Flashbulb song for an r21freak simfile competition. In cases like this, you will have no choice but to cut your song! Use the following method:
Song Cutting Method 2
Step 1 - Download Audacity if you do not already have it.
Step 2 - Open up your song in Audacity. Have a rosary handy.
Step 3 - Cut out any portions of the song you desire to.
Step 4 - Pray. Use your rosary if necessary.
Step 5 - Export your newly-cut song and start stepping it in Stepmania. If your simfile's sync drifts due to improper song cutting, simply use incorrect bpm values to compensate poorly.

Well, that's all there is to it! Not nearly as scary and difficult as you imagined it to be, hmm? So I'd better not have any more people coming to me and asking me how to cut audio or asking me why their audio cuts drift. Remember, this guide is endorsed by GEORGE W. BUSH.
