Jimbo And MWOK Custom Tourny: July 17th in **Edison, NJ**

This tournament was a ton of fun, once again great job with everything Chris. Jimbo's files also look really good. I'm still inexperienced compared to the rest of the competition, so I'm happy with how far I got. And how I qualified (tied the record of 2ex on the the 9). The atmosphere was awesome, and I believe thats partially due to the fact we ran it at menlo. There were a ton of crazy moments in the tournament, like little Matt nailing the 24ths in fscene8 with a blue combo, Jeff having a blue combo on that crossover filled song in the finals, Chez mashing arrows during gimmicks and somehow not getting non combos knocking out Louis, and probably way more but I missed the semifinals. Meeting Zim was awesome and we had a good match, and seeing everybody again was just a blast. If there is another MWOK tournament in the future, there is no doubt I'll be there.

Goldee and zimlord took most of the pictures. Ireen took the group shot of everyone on the DDR machine.

There was the tripod set up behind the machine, and Trigger Happy was recording with his camera, so I'm sure more matches will be up in due time.

This whole weekend was amazing and I will make a hefty post about it tomorrow when I am not ridiculously tired and having to get up for work in three hours.

What an awesome weekend. The tournament was run swimmingly; from what I could tell there were no errors or serious snags (it sounded like the Trinisad thing was unavoidable haha). Major props to MasterWok and Jimbo for that (and my ghetto-ass netbook groove yeah). Really, everything seemed well organized and the whole event seemed to finish on time. The machine was in great condition to (props to Derkomai for this, I assume). And it goes without saying that the files were excellent. Really, I was very impressed, more so than I thought I would be. Anyone who hasn't downloaded the tournament pack is a chucklehead and should go download it immediately so as to remedy the situation.

I didn't really get far in the tournament (I blame pad excellents and stomach cramps and untied shoe laces), but that hardly mattered. This was by far the biggest ITG tournament I have ever attended. The whole atmosphere was great. Awesome people, awesome simfiles, and some really exciting moments (the most notable being Little Matt's Super Lovely and Fer Sure v2). Goddamn, people are pretty grooving good at ITG up there haha. But yeah I was never bored. I met some really great people and got to regroup with people I hadn't seen in a while. Though there were some people I wish I had talked to more, I'll have to chill with them at Kings or something.

It was sick finally meeting a bunch of the r21freak peeps (albeit a few of you I have met before). I got to chill with MasterWok, Derkomai, Sal, Pachara, TEEX, Joe#2, Jimbo, ICNH, DeathDefier, PUMA, Vashen. Brian, Chibi-chan, and maybe some other people! The other people I chilled with (AIJers, etc) were comparably cool -- shoutouts to that niga GOLDEE. Yeah, it was a blast hanging out with you guys. Good times were had left and right.
