Sunnyvale is really... far though. Maybe when I can drive, I'll go haha.
And I never knew there was a difference between DDR and ITG timing. Maybe cuz I only played DDR for about 2 weeks before I started ITG. >.>;;
And refresh my mind please: What was the August Incident again?

August (n) - When Management took out the USB, thinking we were hacking the dedi to get free tokens.

Oh, that one. Ryan and Dann were really mad about that.
I was too, considering I would never be able to play One Thousand Cranes, until I discovered the ITG machine at the Boardwalk.
But yeah I heard the management wouldn't believe Ryan when he pointed out the obvious clues, such as the "Insert USB Here" and "Custom Songs Enabled" on the machine and screen.
Management at Oakridge sucks majorly. :/

Or, well, you could have just downloaded the ITG Rebirth pack that had One Thousand Cranes. Hahahah.
Then you wouldn't have had to waited to get to Boardwalk. Heheh.

Well, management doesn't know how to take care of that machine let alone do much. The only good thing they did for us was to repair, hopefully cleaned up and fixed the hard drive in the machine when we had the outage in January.

Of course, the Japanese DDR X cabinets pretty much looked just like that DDR X2 cabinet, so don't get your hopes up that we'll get anything good.

Tooke the words right out of my mouth..lol

DDRX looked pretty amazing. But our "dumbed down" american version really blows..

Well, I'm not expecting them to blow me away, that's for sure. I am just a little surprised that they actually did some alterations to benefit us players just a little rather than like, "WOW, LETS LIKE, FOR DDRX2, MAKE THE TV EVEN WIDER!" It's more of the small things that I'm nodding at.

The only difference is that one photo has added sparkles and a different logo. All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up, because our DDR X2 machines may well end up looking just like our DDR X machines.

Ah well, I'm not getting my hopes up. :\ I'd still play ITG/ITG Home over DDR any day.

That's weird.
The DDR X machine at the Oakridge mall doesn't have those light towers. Well at least, I think they don't have them. o_o;;
@Cygnus:
When I wanted to play One Thousand Cranes, this was long before I even had my own metal pad and loooong before the club switched to the computer.
I don't really wanna play it at club though, considering that my scores have been complete crap everytime I play. :/

Yeah, they were only on the Japanese version, which also has functional pads. That's what I'm trying to get at. The same thing could easily happen with X2.

Heh, well, I'll try to have hope. Doesn't hurt. After all, we have no real expectation of Konami, now do we?

@Poon - No, what I mean is the pack for it. It's been downloadable for SM for a while. I still improved without a pad for a while just by listening to it, so that's just in my opinion.

I already have the file downloaded. ^^;
I can't really improve on a song just by listening, though. I have to play the chart a LOT. :/

DDR X2's charts are actually pretty awesome for the most part. A HUGE improvement over DDR X, except that the boss song on the home version has a major error resulting in the last 30 seconds of the song, including a death run, so be a few seconds late. Yes, seconds. Kimono Princess is kind of annoying to play, though I do like Roppongi Evolved, La Libertad, and Possession.
