Excellent job on the easier difficulties as well, especially with the rolls on Medium. Though pretty repetitive, you managed to make charts of all difficulties with personality that have stuff for everyone in them.
:exceltastic:

Singles Hard has lots of crossovers in it. I wanted the Singles Easy and Singles Expert to appeal to people who don't like crossovers so much. I can make a version of SX with more crossovers easily. Won't have time today though.

I love Ground, thanks Kytsune. I would have put more hands, but that's the way I am. I hadn't even realized you were a doubles player. Hope you like the charts I made.
:exceltastic:
I'd call Ground a 9, since I passed it with no warmup, and I can't do that with 10s. I think I screwed up the sync a bit too. Probably several milliseconds early. It's hard for me to tell by ear.

P.S. - BPM for Mind Mapping should be 128, not 120. Come on guys...

The feeling's mutual <3 You did an awesome job mute, but no surprises there.

The notes in that section are neither 12ths at 180 bpm nor 16ths at 180 bpm, but they are a lot lot closer to 16ths at 180 bpm than 12ths.

I didn't read Scott's reviews, so if I repeated anything he mentioned, oops. I tried to keep these brief and only highlight my main impressions. I didn't get through everything because there are so many, but maybe later I'll get to the rest. If anyone is confused by my comments, I'm willing to elaborate. I went through these pretty quickly.

Any Way You Choose to Give it - Fun chart, but felt like there were too many freezes. Neat gimmicks.

Black and Gold - Closed out of the song 15 seconds into it. I just can't listen to it rofl.

Blue State Riddim - Ridiculously fun. I'm definitely padding this. 10/10

Bring that Beat Back - Loud song. 16th doublesteps.

Bulletproof - The song itself is boring.

Cellular Phones - I don't know what the rolls are following. Overall, it's alright.

Christmas Eve in Sarajevo - Weird cut, ends abruptly. Double-steps. Had the potential for note layering (jumps/mines, etc).

Dastardly Bombers Machine - 170 bpm minijacks are a pain to do, especially after coming out of 270-degree turns. If you're looking to accent other elements in the song during the longer 24th bursts, you might want to consider mines in unused columns in the future, as opposed to mini-freezes.

Human Operation - The freezes used for the jacks force some pretty awkward turns. I don't think the mini-freezes used in the 16th streams are necessary, especially since it makes timing a bit tougher, and I doubt the player is really looking at those small details while playing. The ends of the rolls can be placed further away from the jumps to avoid the risk of triggering a way-off.

Factory - I liked it. My only minor complain is that the mines are placed pretty close the 48th burst in the slowdown. I like that one section where you stuck to simple rhythms with the long freezes. Nice gimmick where the mines force the player to use once leg. The only other person I really see making use of it is Mootz.
PS - Einhander has one sick soundtrack. 8)

Fire Field - I think you did your best for the song, but the freezes seemed unnecessary after a while because it was clear that you were following the guitar.

No need to feel bad about your song choice, I quite liked it fank yoo very much. Also I must say I'm very much looking forward to seeing how you did with the tune you got, as well as seeing how the rest of this pack turned out. Makes me want to stay up even later lol

Free - Endorphinemachine2

Getting on My Horse - Very repetitive song, most of it was consistently followed, even though there were a few double-steps. ps: nice ending

Ground - Bland song. There were quite a few instances of forced double-steps and I couldn't really follow what a lot of the 16ths were going to. The gallops toward the end seemed to make sense, but I felt their use could have been more consistent.

Hardcore Faith - In general, good rhetoric, although some of the 16ths patterns kind of confused me. They could have made sense for all I know, but I'm too lazy to turn up my speakers and give it another listen. All in all, not bad.

Harsh Like My Dog While Having Sex - Not my personal taste when it comes to stuff I would pad, but well-made. Jacks and jump layering add a good contrast in the drums.

Icicles - Mootz never disappoints.

Just Another Beat Song - Neat use of minijacks on the bass kicks. My only criticism is the mines being placed so closed to the steps starting the 16th bursts. I would prefer to have them on an unused arrow column. Overall, pretty good.

Maiden of Virtue - Less mines would have made this more enjoyable, but otherwise, good.

Mind Mapping - Unplayable. It's extremely offsync, I couldn't follow the 16ths, and there were so many double-steps.

NESmas - Splendid.

Our Furry Pastlife - I didn't even think this was steppable because it's such a slow song. I wasn't mindblown, but the rhetoric was pretty solid. 8)

Over the Ocean - It was alright. There were a couple things I was peeved by, for example, the long pause with minifreezes forcing the player to hold them with mines waiting right below. Following the first set of hands is a giant wave of mines that the player has barely any time to get up and avoid. Even if you do succeed, it kills your legs. The second set of hands is followed by 175-bpm 24th bursts... painful. The 16th patterns I had difficulty following. If they do follow something, they just come off as ambiguous and I would prefer to have followed the main rhythms. Even if it's just 8ths, more simple is just more fun (for me).

Real As They Come - LilWayne/10

Roll 2 Meeeee - When I saw the title, I was able to easily predict that there were going to be rolls in this chart. What I didn't predict however, was left-jacks for the basslines. Nice use of pitch relevance. I didn't plan on bracket hands either, although I didn't think the music was intense enough to really justify them. The song was itself was pretty repetitive, so there's not much else to say.

Saga - Wasn't too fond of the song to begin with. I felt like the jumps were a little excessive in a few jumps and I didn't agree with having those long speedups for the sets of 4 quarter notes.

Scatman Remix - Nice use of mines to space out notes in the middle of the song. It's an effective transition into the next part. Nice use of jumps to offer a contrast in the drums. Overall, it's just repetitive. The crossovers forcing the player in one direction got to me after a while. Not much else to say.

Space Shooter 8bit - This remix doesn't offer much variation and gets extremely repetitive, so you can't really hold it against the step artist. My only complaint is some of the jumps seem unjustifiable because there are no intense percussion/other sounds to follow.
vIdEoGaMeZ/10

Stream - Pretty standard stuff.

Strings of Fire - Pretty fun, although the sync drifts a lot.

Tchakovsky's 1st Pianers - Impressive stuff! Those small 32nd bursts look like a lot of fun; overall it feels like a harder version of Cryosleep. My only minor complaints are: 1) that the roll in the beginning could be made a little shorter so that it isn't slow close to the step which follows, and 2) the use of jumps for the claps at the end, I would just double-check for consistency. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my SSS3 present. :D
ps - gfx are incredible

Test Room - kawaiiiii!~ >^_^;>

The Last Dance - Some of the most fun use of jacks in the pack.

Tsubakabakabaka no hana - I'm not in the mood for vocaloid right now. Ask me later.

Variations 2 - I liked it, although I had a few other ideas in mind for this song. Still, good job. I still plan on stepping it in the future.

Yellow Curves - Nice use of minijacks/crossovers. I'd pad it.

Walking on Sunshine - kindansglory.gif/10

Walking the Dog - Nice use of crossovers and 32nd bursts. The only thing I really disagree with are the yellow 16ths preceeding the 24ths. Otherwise, not bad.

yellow curves: haha this is really hard for me but I need the excuse to learn complex crossovers. at first it just looked really awkwardly sparse but I see now all the complex placement works because it's naturally quite a chaotic sounding song, though m35-m37 stuck out to me as a part that didn't feel as intense as it should be. half way through m7 you miss a yellow to the piano too, and m12 sounds like it should start with purples instead of 16ths for those freezes, possibly other bassline freezes need to be snapped to 12ths as well like m16? m24's just randomly lacking stuff.
hat's most interesting though is the way it follows an amalgamation of the most interesting parts at any given point rather than how I would have stepped it, which would have been shoehorning in all the 16ths into a kind of hybrid rhythm. it restrains itself but in response is a lot more interesting with what it does use. so overall I'm pleased with this and I should try and get through it without pooping out

Yet again, this event was a ton of fun. I had a great time stepping Walking the Dog and an awesome time adopting the hectic orphan of a song that was Harsh Like My Dog Having Sex. They both turned out just as I imagined they would, and I'm pleased with the end result. The former is certainly not my usual cup of tea, musically, but I actually came to like the song over time. As for Harsh Like My Dog, I'll rock out to breaks at 240 BPM any day. 8)

Also, it's pretty hilarious that both of my songs were dog-related, given that one was a 9 and the other was a 15. Well, maybe not hilarious, though at least mildly amusing.

Over the Ocean was one of those songs I loved and wanted to step, but for some reason knew I never would, haha. DVogan did a pretty good job with it; there are certainly a few things I would have done differently (stops come to mind), but the end result was still neat. I had fun padding it this morning. I'll have to check out Sick Nasty Jams/Holiday Hams now, for sure. Thanks for the simfile, DVogan. :)

As for the rest of the simfiles, I may post feedback/thoughts in the next couple days. I've played through most of them, and there are definitely some gems.

So yeah, this was a blast. Props to sssmsm for putting the whole thing together and doing a great job as usual. And, of course, props to everyone who participated.

As far as the hands goes, I'm one of those players who's pretty good at cheating hands so I never really think of what it's like to drop down for them anymore... sorry about that lol.

I'm glad you liked the file though, I was definitely pleased with the file you made for Walking the Dog. I was worried when I sent that in because I wasn't sure how steppable it was. I just really liked the song, and I was hoping that I would get somebody good to step it through this. I'll definitely be throwing it on my card when I go play tomorrow. Also loved the graphics (I'm guess you did those too since they're different from the rest of the pack.

I'll probably play through more of this in a bit, but I liked Icicles and NESChristmas a lot, as well as the file made for me. Seems like a solid pack overall. Nice work everyone, and hope you all enjoyed your holiday! :]

Kyzentun, thank you thank you thank you so much for this. =) This Doubles 13 looks intense and I can't wait to play it. Also, thanks for the full range of difficulties, I really didn't expect that, and feel like I should return the favor. =P In any case, I hope you (and all of r21freak) had a merry Christmas Day today. <3

I'm so used to playing The Last Dance on Technika that the rhythms in your chart hell threw me off, but I'm used to them now and I have to say that it's a load of fun, good job :D

I understand how the freezes+jacks in Ex.Human Operation can confuse people, although was was trying to make it tough, since it was gonna be a 13. I guess I'll tone that part down in a later revision.
