Official DJ Max Technika Accomplishments Thread!

I believe the there are now 2 locations in NY:
-New Rochelle which everyone knows. It's $1.50 a game and is generally in a bad location according to a few friends.
-Chinatown Fair just recently got it. I heard they removed SF4 and replaced it with Technika (correct me if I'm wrong). PS - That's just dumb; SF4 gives that place a lot of business.

Sightreading it doesn't look as bad as sightreading an ouendan/elite beat agents chart, since you're given much better information on how rhythms are laid out.

It's worse than trying to read Ouendan/EBA charts.

Can you explain why, please? If you mean because of the video, that's a consequence of much harder charts being put down, not the reading method being harder.

Well, at least EBA was nice with your life meter. Technika is just unforgiving by every stretch. You really have to know half the songs ahead of time.

Because almost all DJ MAX songs have LAYERS of sound to make their music, you can't just assume everything. You go off on anything, it could mean your game.

Well, I passed a 6 at Sunnyvale Golfland today! Got either a C or D (can't remember) on Clear Blue Sky. Fun fun. Also the blister on my fingertip (which I got from playing here last time) popped. Oww.

D'aww D: I remember the first time I tried Dear My Lady, and failed miserably. Soo not a 3.

Tchnika is fun. I enjoyed it. I think the best I did was pass a 4. I don't remember what song it was at all. haha

I started playing this game more often. I've played <10 games but I can pass mostly anything in popular up to 6, and I've gotten a few full combos on 1-3s with only a few cools. I'll start keeping track of my scores and posting them.

But yeah, listening to the songs ahead of time helps a TON. I'm gunna try to get some other DJ MAX games to learn the music better.

I was thinking about buying one actually, because I've been going to the break a lot lately and playing Technika a lot. Also either White Blue is a 7 or Clear Blue Sky is a 5, because one of them is definitely rated wrong. I passed Clear Blue Sky sightread, and I've played White Blue at least 5 times now and fail every time at the end.

A lot of songs are rated bad and some needs to be re-rated, like dear my lady is the hardest 3 I've ever seen, heck half the 4's are easier then that.

Yeah. Dear My Lady is either a 4 or a 5, and Clear Blue Sky is a 5.

I got to play about 16 rounds of Technika in one day last week. Yay for spontaneous SVGL trips with Helvetica! I tried three different Technical courses: First Step, Heartbeat and Electro. I failed them all, but at least I got to the 3rd and 4th songs. Geez, the song Lover is pretty hard.

I currently have three cards: Fate, Melody and Here in the Moment. It's my mission to collect them all. My limited edition Bemanistyle IC card is coming in the mail. It's got pandas!
