It's a shame your're retiring matattdi. I loved your files and I hope we can see something from you ever in the future in some event or something! :D

My guess for new Staff member would be: Mootz, Zimlord or [ICNH]! :D

Sorry, maybe some other time. Don't let this discourage you, though. Maybe you could become staff in the distant future!

Being an active member of the site is a huge part in becoming a staff member. I'm pretty sure my involvement in r21twins, my FotW position, and being a simple mod helped me get this spot. That being said, [ICNH] is the most likely candidate because his files are always neat and tidy, meaning there are no holds longer than they should be and there's perfect step placement (unlike Mootz's and Zimlord's). He may not release very many files, but he releases them with top notch quality that no other member can match.

btw, you guys keep forgetting Revolver D:

Revolver is the next best choice [after [ICNH]]. He spits files out like crazy and still manages to make really good charts. That and he's an active member of the site. Once NEMO officially retires I'm sure Revolver will take his place.

Zimlord and Mootz are fairly new to the site. Both of them have been making outstanding files lately, but almost all of them have not-as-good-as-it-could-be step placement and they usually have fake hands. Fake hands = sloppy. Sometimes I see that there's 20 hands in one of their charts and I decide not to play it. D: They have been active on the site, especially zimmy with his FotW helper position, but I don't think either of them will be staff this time around.

Mandodo can make good charts, but since he stole about 70% of my Destination Unknown chart, I doubt we'll see as much originality from him as we'll see with [ICNH], Mootz, Zimlord, or Revolver. <3 Mandodo, and him being staff could lure ItgFreak people here, but I don't see it happening. Besides, sozz
We're honest people here, and we can play with timing windows and lifebar difficulties set by you. There's no need for the groovestats policy of deleting any suspected home score.
I don't think this will be much of a problem since Scott only has a homepad at the moment.

He actually did that with a few other charts too. Boten anna STPTB, Wizard of Oz, etc. Aurora (rebirth), he said he remade them because he didn't like the original -- who could blame him, both of those originals sucked. I've yet to try your destination unknown, however.

But yea, my vote is definately for Jeff, Mandodo, or Revolver.

I believe NIQ9's Destination Unknown was in the Scholarship pack... If you wanna try Mandodo's version, then you could probably try it in the KOTC2 r1 pack. I'm sure it's gonna be on Menlo's machine by this weekend.

Whats the Destination Unkown we have in Community Files?

Also, speaking of the machine -- can you throw Heroes of our Time (cosmic evolution) and Heartbreak Armageddon on (???)? I wanna try them.

I believe that would be Mandodo's Destination Unknown.

And why do we need more metal that no one is really going to play? Pretty much, besides you, Sledge is gonna be the only one even bothering to attempt these songs.

Does it hurt anybody to put two songs on? And Steve would play them. I just want them as a personal stamina milestone. I don't want to even go for TTFAF because of all the mallrats. HOOT is the only 14 DF chart, so I wanted to try it out.

I'm pretty sure only rock-a-doodle-doo has fake hands. On the subject of step-placement (I don't mean to sound arrogant), but I've REALLY been paying attention to that in my charts recently, and I feel that my step placement for my most recent files couldn't be better. I have a few earlier charts that could definitely use a make-over in that regard, but I feel pretty damn good about my choice of patterns and steps now.

I think it's going to be [ICNH] without a doubt. He makes INCREDIBLE files (The Funk Is being my favorite chart ever from this site) and always makes smart posts. He also keeps his cool in argumentative situations, which is always a good quality for someone in power. Plus I think the staff section could use some more experienced players.

The notes in that section are neither 12ths at 180 bpm nor 16ths at 180 bpm, but they are a lot lot closer to 16ths at 180 bpm than 12ths.

PUMA: My destination unknown has a lot of crossovers. All mandodo did was basically take them out and changed a few other things here and there.

Mootz: That was primarily aimed at zimmy, but I haven't played most of your pack yet.

Yeah, especially with Super Mario Bros., I think Mootz's step placement is top-notch. And I'm usually very picky about that.

Thanks for the kind words, Mootz. <3

Sure thing [ICNH].

Oh yeah NIQ9, I just checked my pack: about 3 or 4 other files have fake hands. Thanks for mentioning them; I'll try to avoid them from now on.

I think Mootz or [ICNH] should be staff. I like their files more than most others on this site.

Spoiler'd because this is off topic, but @PUMA, some consider Heartbreak Armageddon to be a hard 14. I kind of have to agree; when I played it on Friday I didn't even really get tired haha. I'd say it's 14 borderline 15. If you passed HoOT I'd say go for Heartbreak, cause it's not a whole lot harder.

When i don't like a file. I change it. I'm sorry NIQ if you got offended in any way by me re-stepping your song. Tho i must say, it feels soo much better. And synced btw.

EDIT: Lets keep on moving. Shall we? ;)

Whoever gets the staff spot DESERVES it.

Mine isn't off sync (aside from maybe a very small offset error). I'm not offended by you changing it, but if you keep a lot of the exact same steps and release it as your own chart, that's just not cool D:
