I'm up for going to the auction with some people from around here, seeing Andy, and possibly buying some stuff to help him out. Anyone else wanna go?

This, pretty much. I've got a bunch of friends who are going to be really bummed once they find out--though they probably already have.

FUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKKK

I knew 2009 would be a shitty year for everything seeing how 2008 ended, but shit like this is like getting kicked in the balls after you're on the ground screaming in pain because you got kicked in the balls a minute earlier. And then you find out you have AIDS.

I wish I had a half million in disposable income right now. One time run like a Kenyan at inernet poker?

I can't believe this.... :'[ I am so upset. TGA was such an amazing place, and Andy's such an amazing guy; this shouldn't happen to people like him and Chie.

I guess LZ is now my closest machine. :/

According to what I've heard, he was asking for donations even WHEN the place was open. Look how far that took him. I mean, it's one thing to ask for donations. It's another thing when you donated all that money and the place ends up shutting down forever. So much for that, huh?

I mean, as bleak as the situation looks, I don't see how you could get into half a million dollars worth of debt like that. I can't feel sympathetic at all about it.

In all honesty I really feel about this since he was such a awesome guy but in the end it all has to do with business and the first thing was that he was in a such a bad location where not even any public transportation was available.
Then it all started to go downhill when he got screwed over on the SF4 deal. I think that if that were not to happen then the situation wouldn't be as bleak as it is now.

On another note, he chose his hours of operation rather poorly.

I have to agree about the hours. Although, the place was run by two people, so he needed a break I guess. He would work like 110 hours a week heh. I think his approach at getting more employees was kind of bad. He should've hired some part time employees so he wouldn't have to do everything at once all the time... Like, I'd've gladly worked there if I could work only part time.

And yeah, Winchendon is like the worst place ever for any business that isn't a pizza place.

The problem with things like this is Andy just hates giving away money.

Not exactly "giving away." It helps the business -- more employees means more hours of operation and less stress for him. Hell, it could've been open 7 days a week (and more than just 4 hours on Mondays) if he had more people. This in turn makes more money for him.

But that's just my way of looking at it. Running a business isn't that easy.

I meant literally giving away. Like he just hates having money leave his hand kind of thing. I'm sure he cringes a little every time he's forced to open the cash register to put in your 25 26 dollars.
