For me I would donate just for the sake of having the site up. I don't care about rewards or anything. I wouldn't mind donating at all it's kinda like chipping in for vent server money.

Again, thanks for the input everyone. I'm going to try and get this started after the next site event, which should take place sometime early or mid February. I think it will end up being a sort of pick and choose whatever you want for certain donation amounts since there are just too many cool possibilities, though of course there will always be an option to donate anonymously and just receive good karma.

If we use stepfiles as prizes, I can guarantee they will be more fun on the pad than some of the unlockables (we have some pretty good ideas already), and I'm pretty sure we're not going to use ranks as prizes since that would just be too discriminatory and could be abused and annoying. However, you should probably expect the incentives to include things like r21freak hosting space, file requests, in depth review requests, and maybe even @r21freak e-mails amongst other things. Should be fun

This would be cool, however, I don't think controlled (as in, DON'T LET ANYONE HAVE THIS SIMFILE EVER) simfiles should really be "good" files. It just seems like it'd be way too hard to control -- anyone could just give the file to anyone at the arcade who asked about it. I dunno though, it could possibly work I guess.

Either way, this sounds pretty cool. File hosting would be a definite plus.

The more practical thing you'd be getting is the continued existence of this site. I'd rather pay for postcount than look like a postwhore like some people.
