Forum Reorganization

Postby Blazing on Tue Oct 11, 2011 12:17 pm

The "r21freak Site Events" category has been collapsed into a forum with subforums, and can be found under the "Other" category. Hopefully the reduced clutter on the front page enhances your r21freaking experience. :D

If anyone has any other requests for reorganization, just let me know here and I'll consider them.

Thanks for the re-organization. The board was beginning to look a little cluttered.

If anything, perhaps a description for the Site Events thing would be cool too.

Sounds good, Blazing!

Might I propose collapsing the unlockables into one group as well? For those of us who reached 100% and have likely seen all the files ages ago, the individual subforums seem to take up space on the main page. The files themselves have had some downtime for a while anyway, so I think that would be less incentive to go revisiting them.

Another note, would it make more sense to put the site events currently in action on the front page and just make the whole group itself just an archive?

If something is active, wouldn't it make more sense to let everyone know it's going on (not trying to toot my own event horn, but just for future events like DRAFT '12 or Secret Santa).

Thank you so much Blazing! Now it looks so much better and it won't really intimidate new members.

Thanks for mentioning this! I'll add one for sure.

I'm okay with doing this as well, but I can't seem to make it display the subforums. If I can do that, I'll collapse the unlockanbles.

This is a good idea, but I'm not sure how to organize it. Suggestions?

You could take the active events out of the index of r21 events and sit it out with the rest of the board index, then when the event is finished, you stow it away inside the r21 events subforum.

Alright, if people want it (and it seems like they do) I'll set that up. I think I'll just bring back the site events category on the front page and make an archive forum to collapse the old events into. :D

You should consider putting everything in the junkyard.

I don't like this idea because I would no longer be able to +1
