Woot woot a new Castlevania song! Stomp Exceed has just reached the 600 stepcharts mark!

Image
Clockwork (Castlevania Judgment) - Yasushi Asada
BPM: 131
Single: 1/4/6/9/11
Double: 4/6/9/12

This song originally appeared in Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse for the NES, in the optional stage 2 where you Grant Danasty can join you as a companion, after defeating the boss there. It has been rearranged for Castlevania Judgment as Grant Danasty's theme. Judgment is a 3D fighting game that didn't fare very well at the reviews, but do have excellent musical arragements of various famous Castlevania tunes.

And here comes another Castlevania song!

Image
Lament Of Innocence ~Leon's Theme~ (Castlevania: Lament of Innocence) - Michiru Yamane
(Not r23 friendly)
BPM: 135
Single: 1/3/6/9/11
Double: 3/6/9/11

Leon Belmont's theme. Chronologically, the first vampire hunter of the Belmont family's legacy of fighting evil.

Character Profile:
The hero of this game. He is a baron who is revered as the most powerful of the land's knights. Casting aside fame and fortune to save his abducted betrothed, he ventures into the vampire's castle alone.

Sound Test quote from the game:
"Once of Iga's favorite tunes. A piece that shows Leon's grief and anger."

He releases more than ICNH, NEMO, and Insane Steve. Why is he retired?

Frankly his files aren't as good as theirs. I like the way Scott put it. To somewhat paraphrase: he represents the stepping style of a bygone era. He's a classic, old-school step artist and always will be, but his charts don't quite match the technical correctness of current Staff Files and are often very awkward. He didn't adapt to current Staff standards; he kept things too old-school.

That said, his song choice is always interesting and he does make full difficulties, so it's still worth keeping an eye out for whatever he releases.
