Lately, I've been getting into a lot of funk, soul and blues. One of my most recent discoveries was Tower of Power, which was a name that popped up on last.fm a few months ago. I checked out the album "Bump City" (1972) and loved every track. They incorporate some strong jazz elements, which are complemented by the vocals of R&B singer Rick Stevens and is backed by the remaining personnel.
Yeah, don't ask about the hand holding the chicken leg. I don't know. All I know is that it's a good album.
