This song has grown on me like a malignant tumour.

groove yeah, BECK. Such a good show. The soundtrack is really good, too, all four discs of it. Really raw sounding rock/funk for the most part, very Red Hot Chili Peppers/Rage Against the Machine esque (both bands actually had a big influence on Harold Sakuishi and the show's whole production). There are a ton of references to bands of that ilk, along with more classic troupes. It's one of those shows that really stuck with me and got at my nostalgic side, probably because I played in jazz bands and garage bands with friends a lot in middle school and high school. The series got me interested in playing bass again, for the first time since I gave up on it four years ago or so. Also if you like laughing at Engrish it is the best show ever probably.

Also there are "English" versions of most of these, but groove that noise I like my Engrish the way it is.

Yeah the OST is grooving good; however, I like the "English" vocals over the Engrish, probably because I watched the show in dub and not the sub so I got used to the English one. OPINIONS. And yeah, I've heard some of the engrish in this show.

Agreed. Beck is a fantastic series. Great music, too.

The notes in that section are neither 12ths at 180 bpm nor 16ths at 180 bpm, but they are a lot lot closer to 16ths at 180 bpm than 12ths.

Oh wow, I don't know what to say.

There's something about this song that I love.

I keep forgetting how much I love Yoko Kanno's stuff. Wolf's Rain's OST is right up there near Cowboy Bebop, IMO.
I know this one's been posted on page 2, but it's too good and has to be posted again.

Absolutely love the guitar in this song.

Good looks with the Wolf's Rain, Psychotik. Great soundtrack. Yoko Kanno never ceases to amaze me.

Psychotik wrote:Absolutely love the guitar in this song.

Steve Conte's voice is so good, as is his guitar playing. This is definitely one of my favorite Conte/Kanno collaborations. The chorus hits me so hard, "People are boooornnn with / people are boooorn without /some people have, and others want what some go without / some people liiiiiive free / some people just want more / as for meee I got all that I need / *sweet guitar stuff* ". Big ups to Tim Jensen with the lyrics, another big Kanno collaborator (shoutouts to Lithium Flower). Some other Conte/Kanno gems:

Mai Yamane's TV version is good, but Conte kills this:
