Bump for obscure black metal bands.
These guys started up in Chicago around 2004. As far as I know, they were signed to a label at one point and played at a few festivals, but after that there were no longer any updates on them. Too bad, they were pretty killer.

Sounds pretty cool, never heard of them, I guess they are kinda obscure. I might look into this more.

Bump/double post

Today was the Heavy MTL festival (it's also tomorrow, but it's just crappy bands). Saw 7 bands perform.

Anvil: These guys are awesome. The most memorable moment was when the lead guitarist pulled out a vibrator and played a solo while fretting with the vibrator. Also, at one part, he strummed with his teeth. Also, the song White Rhino; it's pretty much just a giant drum solo. It was awesome.

Testament: Boooooooooooooooring.

Rob Halford: Never heard his band perform, but damn was it good. Very enjoyable to listen to. I recommend anyone who likes metal to check him out.

Mastadon: See Testament.

Slayer: This was the moment I was waiting for. This was absolutely insane. Prior to the festival, I've never been to a concert/music festival before. I was literally caught in a mosh. I had a blast (even though nobody stepped on my face :( ). I went with a friend to this. I guess at some point he pussied out, cuz after slayer was done playing, I lost him.

Alice Cooper: Pretty good. This guy really knows how to put on a show.

Megadeth: Another insanely good performance, playing all the classics like Tornado of Souls, Peace Sells, and of course Symphony of Destruction. The closest I got to the stage was about 3 meters away (10-12 Feet). Everyone was just pushing everyone so tightly together that everyone was sweating like crazy. Shit's awesome. They finished with a super-awesome-crazy-long solo.

Good bump, Psych!

Damn, I haven't kept up with him in ages; I wasn't even aware of his stuff outside of Judas Priest (which I love). I'll definitely check them out for sure. :)

Glad to hear you had a good time, man. I would have killed to be there while Slayer was playing. I hope they also played Reign in Blood and Angel of Death; those are also classics. I've been going through my old Megadeth albums recently. I forgot how comedic Dave Mustaine can sound sometimes (ex. Sweating Bullets), but he still kicks ass.

Unfortunately, Slayer did not play Raining Blood, but they did play Angel of Death last. As soon as the solo near the end kicked in, everyone went crazy. It was great. Also, Megadeth played A Tout Le Monde, very appropriate to play in Quebec.

- Unexpect went Independent for their next album release. It was scheduled for sometime this fall, but since the band rarely ever updates when exactly, god knows when it will actually be out.

Stratovarius wrote:Stratovarius are putting the finishing touches on their thirteenth full-length studio album "Elysium" in 5-by-5 studios, Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland. The album will be released on January 12th, 2011 by JVC in Asia and worldwide on January 14th, 2011 by Edel/EarMusic.

A single with two new songs of "Elysium" will be released on 26 November this year, coinciding with the start date of the "7 sinners world tour" on which Stratovarius will join Helloween...

Lamb of God, I dunno, but I know there's Children of Bodom charts out there. Just look around.

You might like Project Destruction. It's pretty much the only metal simfile pack out with full singles charts. PD2 will also have full singles.

- For all the VGMetal dudes, here's 島白, the same dude who made that song "Survivor" from the Dark Chancellor's Pack:

He does a whole bunch of other genres too.

- Stratovarius' new album released today in Asia. It will be out worldwide on the 14th.

I'm really late on this, but psychotick, I didn't know you attended heavy mtl, I am pleasantly suprised XD are you going to the 2011 edition?

I recently saw rammstein and it was the best show I have ever been to, and never again will I let a giant cock blow it's load at me. Had to wait 3h30 to get good spots on the floor level.

Side note, what are the longest and the most painfull waiting line you guys have ever done for a show? (Sorry for poor grammar, I'm french blablabla)

Longest: 6h30 for iron maiden
Most painfull: The rammstein wait, it was grooving -20 C outside :(

Obligatory metal plug
