better than 1818

No it's not, that's one of the most awkward ass pad changes. At least with 1818 your center of mass stays in the same place.

one! two! three! four! FOOOOOOOOOOUR

This is the exact same pattern as in Rythmn and Police DH.
It's VERY easy to do.
There's a few ways you can do it.

Doing it as a cross-over is difficult but...
I do it as a horizontal skip.

For what it's worth, that wasn't sarcasm. I grooving love toy soldiers. Anyway, I think it's important to have some charts like that. Not every chart, especially in a project like rebirth 2, has to be super-serious and conform to everyone's standards for "good" stepcharts. The point of rebirth 2 is to be fun (and I guess to be accessible). I think it meets that goal really well, especially for doubles charts. So sure, toy soldiers might not have incredible step rhetoric, but that's actually one of the things I like most about it. It's pretty refreshing to see charts nowadays that still blatantly don't care about being "proper" and conforming to expectations. Most times when some well-known stepper releases a new pack I don't even have to play it to know exactly what every song is going to be like, and that gets a little boring.

Again for emphasis.

I would have imagined it as that too. But for something saying "left right left right" it doesn't work IMO because although the arrows are marked in those directions, that is not the way your body moves.
Remember August 22

skrillex goes by many names, like aphex twin, the flashbulb, and venetian snares

The 41--14--45--58 gallops in Rhythm of Police are actually footswitches. A quarter note 1-4-5-8 passage can be done like footswitching gallops or one-legged jumps too, but if the song's tempo is too fast (The Hot Issue DX that everyone hates :( )then crossing over is the only way.

The quick skips work :D
I like it, it's a fun/a-typical method.
