30 Minutes Harder: This one's kind of awkward. There are a lot of instances in which the right foot is on 1P Right and the left foot needs to go to 2P Left, or vice-versa on the other side. There's also an out-of-nowhere quad on both ups and downs that can easily catch people off guard. Other than that there are some nice stream patterns that beef up the difficulty to give it its 11 rating. I'll say maybe.
Asian Crosscounter: 200 BPM, mostly 8th notes. That being said, this is actually a hard 11, heh. It is a very good test of crossovers and quick pad transitions. Definite yes.
Aurora: Fun little 9 that just so happens to be a half double! I think it would fit right in and keep Habenera 1 good company, yes.
Baby Seal: Weird rhythms overall. Patterning is okay. Maybe.
Banana Bay: For the most part it's a typical bubblegum pop 9, except that there are some surprisingly nasty laterals in some sections. It would make for an interesting 9 pick I think. Yes.
Beautiful Morning: I have to give credit to whoever wrote this. They definitely tried to keep it interesting. I just don't know if it would be picked too much, seeing as how it would likely be overshadowed by the rest of the 9s, difficulty-wise. I'll say maybe.
Burning Me Up: Pretty unique gimmick here in that there isn't a single 8th (blue) note in the entire chart. Although, it doesn't leave much to the rhythms because of it, and there is a section with some annoying mine dodge setups. I'll pass.
Calendar Girl: There isn't really anything interesting about this chart, and it just seems to drag on. No.
Charly (Halloween Mix): I think this chart has a lot to offer, with the beginning section having some fun 8th note stabs with one foot while the other foot is occupied by a hold. There are also varying rhythms throughout, as well as a tricky ending. Yes.
Cherry Blossom Whirlwind (LMK Remix): This chart seems like it has severe ADHD or something. The beginning can fail people really easily with how rapidly and without warning it completely changes sides. And I guess it's trying to keep things interesting by throwing in those gallops near the halfway point, but I don't know, they don't really seem to work in that aspect. Nah.
Chromatic Blitz: Definitely a high-end 13, I think the runs are pretty well-structured and reasonable. Yes.
Cloud Nine ana a Half: Personally I think it's more of a high 9 than a 10, but I digress. I like what this chart has to offer. A tough to read beginning with interesting anchor taps (like the ones mentioned in Charly. I really need to solidify a name for this kind of technique, haha), and when it gets to normal tempo, it has some jumpy back and forth pad transitions that look pretty fun, and some 16th bursts near the back half that bump up the difficulty. I'll say yes.
Clouds From the East: Quirky 9 with 32nd bursts. Patterning-wise it's kind of standard fare. I'll say maybe.
Come With Me: Extremely repetitive. Chart is okay, but doesn't really have much to offer in the way of patterning and varied rhythms. I don't see it being picked in tournaments.
Dead Souls: I liked where this one was going at first. Not sure if the first 8 measures of quarter notes were really necessary, but I suppose it was a simple set up for the following 8th run which utilized the same patterns. There is that questionable 16th note right before measure 57 hits, seems like it should be placed a 16th note earlier. Other than that it's a relatively easy 10 I think, and I really like the patterns used in the 8th notes. I'll say yes.
Disconnected -Sanxion7 remix-: Ugh...I REALLY want to like this file, but there are a few problems that I have with it. The first slowdown makes you go into the hands twisted away from the screen, when it's a lot easier to switch feet on the holds before the first hand hits. Another thing that caught my attention is the 24th bursts in the second half, in which some of them go to the sound it was following earlier, and some of them don't. The rest of the chart overall is pretty amazing though, and is a low 11 I think. I'll say yes to this.
Disconnected -Delight- Mix: This chart is just...weird, plain and simple. Not reallly sure what it's trying to do, aside from some awkward transitions that make you step over your leading foot, as well as a lot of awkward stretchy back and forth patterns with mines everywhere to keep the player light on their feet. No.
Do You Do You Love Me: Sad to say but this chart (and song) was really boring. Nothing really special about it aside from a few varied (and made up) rhythms. No.
Dr. Doolittle: Somewhat interesting, easy-ish 10 with scattered gallop patterns and rhythms. I'm a bit iffy on the gallop sections that were thrown in there outside the choruses just because the rest of the song's melodies cut out, as well as those lateral setups with the 2 8th note jacks into the jumps. It was consistent but didn't repeat itself when that part of the song came up again (instead opting for two different arrows for the jumps and starting facing forward). I'll say maybe.
Duality: Eh, this is a weird 12. Doesn't really feel that difficult for the most part, but for the final speedup there are some annoying tell jumps to deal with at 194 BPM. There is also an incorrect rhythm in the very beginning, as well as some flow issues, the latter of which isn't too big a deal since they land on quarter notes. But, I think we can get some better 12s in here. Nope.
Enchanted Journey: Wow. I uh...really like this chart. Perfect 10, so to speak. Absolutely yes.
Epileptic Crisis: Well, it's a LOT better than the Single Expert for starters (hah). Seems like it has alright flow, but lots of mine abuse in a few areas to makes it a little difficult to read. I'm gonna go with a maybe for this.
EternuS: This chart's pretty amazing. It has a mine column gimmick that works really well, and the patterning is fantastic. Definite yes.
Etude For a Dragon: Lots and lots of quarter note jumping action, as well as mild stretching with holds and jumps. I'll say maybe.
Galaxy9: This chart's alright. Varied rhythms, plus stretchy 8th note pad transitions. I'll give it a low yes.
Gargoyle (Original Mix): Aside from the obvious hand gimmick in the first half of the slowdown, the rhythms and patterning are pretty well structured. Everyone who picks the chart is more likely than not to just drop the slowdown holds intentionally for the hands though, so the gimmick might not be doing its job. I'll say maybe.
Get Down: Deceptively hard 13, partly because of the smaller runs containing a LOT of movement. There are a few issues with the chart thuogh, such as rolls that seem to be out of place as opposed to how they're mainly used in the big runs, as well as a few flowing issues (such as the end of measure 34). Maybe.
Ice Cold: Chart felt really empty in a lot of places, but I suppose that that's partly the song's fault as well. Still really broken up and it seems to have a few flow issues. Gonna say no.
Indulgence: Overall this seems like a pretty good 12, the only things I don't like are the later hands which twist your legs with the holds immediately prior, and the 16th jacks scattered throughout. Maybe.
Journey: Here's an easy little 10 that tests a lot of complex crossovers via 8th note runs, as well as scattered 16ths, some jumps here and there, and a gradual speedup in the beginning. Overall pretty good, I say yes.
July O-Cho 8-bit Remix: There are quite a few mini runs that whip you facing the other direction, as well as a couple of flow issues I believe. Low maybe.
King's Theme (Pixel Remix): Really awkward mine dodging in the first 16 or so measures. There are also a few other awkward sections, such as the quarter note rolls and some of the 8th note pad transitions. I'll leave it as a maybe.
Lady Bug: Eh, pretty boring 9 with some made up gallop rhythms throughout. Nope.
Last Man Standing: Really streamy 10 with basic pad transitions, and the gimmick is perfectly telegraphed in comparison to the Single Expert. Yes.
Legacy: A neat 9 with some visually tricky reading due to holds. Fun mine-dodging near the middle, and overall pretty good. I'll say yes.
Les Vacances Du Compositeur: Really fun, chill 9. A fair amount of jumping back and forth between pads, and 8th notes with fun turning that compliment the song perfectly. I think it would be an awesome 9 for the pack.
Little Red Riding Hood: Surprisingly tough 9 with a lot of turning and a bunch of 16th rhythms to compliment the song. Yes.
Machine Rhythm: Kind of awkward in some places, especially with the step jumps. I'll pass.
Machines Will Fall: Fairly easy 11 with a middle that, instead of having 24ths that don't really go to anything, instead has 16ths that get more and more wild with their movement. The rest of the chart is pretty solid too. Yes.
Me And My Lover: Pretty streamy 11 with a fair amount of hands, almost all of which are bracketable except for the last two. I think it would be pretty valueable in a tournament pack. Yes.
Megascorcher: This one's...really odd. Not in a good way, at least for me. It feels really empty for the most part, and there are some weird hands scattered throughout. Gonna say no to this.
Metallik Heart: There are a few flow issues here, plus a few awkward mine dodging spots. Other than that the chart's not bad. Maybe.
Mongolian Grill: Looks like a pretty easy 11. It was okay, but there was that one run at measure 25 that just seemed like a complete waste because it only utilized the left side. I'll say maybe.
Necropolis: Really easy hand chart. If it were harder I can definitely see it having a place in a tournament, but as it stands I don't think it has a place in the pack. Saying no only because I don't feel that it's difficult enough for what it is.
Night Time Story: Some interesting ideas going on in this chart, such as the 180s during the 8th holds, but it seems a little cluttered at times. There's also some weird mine dodging near the beginning. Maybe.
Nights in Heaven - Days in Hell: Straight-forward and easy fast-paced 10, with some small 16th runs here and there and some simple turning in the 8ths. Don't really know if it really has anything unique to it for tournament purposes though. Maybe.
Ode to Dragon: I kind of want to call this a 9. Regardless, it has some extremely well made hands that provide plenty of set up time as well as recovery and the step placement immediately afterwards. Not to mention, it has you doing hands with your feet (holding holds with your hands and doing taps with your feet), which actually work really well. There's also some varied rhythms throughout that kep it interesting. Definite yes.
One Thousand Cranes: Average difficulty 11 with a ton of varied rhythms, as well as some neat roll usage. I'll say yes.
Over The Rave: Pretty challenging 12 because of how stretchy and full of movement the runs can be. The one, singular gripe I have with this chart is at the end of measure 22, on the 1P side: a U+D jump that sets you up to hit it facing right, but there is a L+U jump an 8th note afterwards. Other than that this chart would be great for tournament play. Definite yes.
Overdrive: This chart is really weird. It also has some really weird patterning within 16th bursts. Gonna pass on this one.
Palindrome: Nothing really special about this one, just your typical 9. Maybe? It's an okay chart, I just don't know if it would be picked very often.
Popcorn: Pretty fun chart, albeit a tad repetitive near the end. It has a lot of small step jump patterns that are done in good taste, as well as a bunch of varied rhythms. Yes.
Progression: This chart disappoints me, to be honest. There are so many ignored rhythms all over the place that would have made the chart a mid 10 and very interesting, but instead it resorted to quarter note jumps. Going to say no, this could have been something really interesting.
ReaF: Personally I think it can be structured a little better, for example changing the 8th jacks between 16th bursts to things that just flow naturally. I think it would make the chart a bit more enjoyable. I'll go with a maybe on this one.
Reloading 150: This was just...uh...bad. No.
Remember December: Eh, uneventful 9 with a slowdown. Chart's okay, just not really seeing a reason for this to be in.
Rock Steady: This one's alright for the most part. I like the jacks during the stutter stops. There's also a long hand section which will throw people completely off guard if they're not ready for it. Once you know where it is though, it's not too bad. Although, I don't really see how you're supposed to do the entirety of the last 2 measures...Gonna give it a maybe.
Safety Net: I was pleasantly surprised with this one actually. It has a lot of unique things going for it, like full instant pad switches, and some interesting offbeat 8th jumps which utilize mine cues and quick pad switching, as well as some easy hands and a few spins with holds. After all that, it finishes off with a long hold walking section with some very twisty turns. Kind of quirky, I like it. Yes.
Sail AwaY: Somewhat streamy 12, but the hand sections just seem extremely out of place. Maybe.
Save the Last Dance for Me: Kind of a forgettable 9 aside from the footswitches in the 8ths. Gonna go with no though.
Shooting Star: Average 9. There are mines scattered throughout the chart which I think adds a little personality to it somehow, haha. Although, looking past that the chart is mostly straightforward, especially if you know where the slowdown is. Gonna go with maybe on this one.
Skyline: Eh, this is an okay chart. Really repetitive but that's partly the song's fault I suppose. Some basic hand sections but beyond that, not much else. Nah.
Sonic Vision: This felt like it should have been the hard chart. It was just extremely underwhelming. No thanks.
Space Space Shooter: Some of the runs seemed unproportionally harder than others at seemingly random intervals (as in, the patterning during some of the runs was extremely rough, or extremely straight forward). It's an okay 11. I say maybe.
Space War III: Fairly easy 11 with the main gimmick being anchored 8th runs via rolls on the offbeats. I think it works out pretty well and is unique. Yes.
Stars Above: Similar to Reactor's gimmick of extremely stretchy runs, and I think this is both easier because of the lack of ending runs, and harder because Stars Above is 19 BPM faster. I'll say yes to this one, it's much more fluid and less broken up than Reactor.
Stop the Music: Interesting 9 with a bunch of rhythmic variety and tasteful step-jumping. I like this one, I say include it.
Strikebeam: Pretty varied 11, rhythm-wise. The patterns provide for some interesting movement as well as a fun, slightly visually tricky hand section that makes you utilize your feet to hit hands (as in Ode to Dragon). Not to mention some VERY SKILL DETERMINANT 8TH NOTE SPINS. Yes to this.
Sugar Sweet: This is actually a pretty interesting chart. Simple 8th note runs across the pads that make you spin, but can be very easily doublestepped without needing to worry about double stepping a second time, since you have holds to correct yourself. There are also a few varied rhythms with gallops. I'll say yes to this one.
Summer: Probably more of a hard 10? Either way, the chart is alright for the most part. However, when the piano kicks in the steps decide to do something completely different, rhythm-wise. I don't really understand it, but it's consistent with the rhythms each time it occurs. A couple of step jumps that feel awkward but not a big deal there. Going to say maybe.
Supremacy: There are a few made up rhythms here and there, such as the slowdown and the ending. Other than that, I think this chart can prove valuable in a tournament, because it offers some unique jump patterns that can be visually confusing at first (not necessarily a bad thing) as well as a few stretchy patterns. I'll say yes to this one.
Synth Synth Synth: This one looks pretty fun. It takes good advantage of the swing rhythm by anchoring you around the center 6 in very fun ways. And the chart is overall pretty well structured as well. Yes.
Tears in May: Generally uninteresting 10 with a few stretchy 16th bursts, and a cool first half of an ending 8th note run that has you facing left the entire time through pad transitions as its gimmick. Maybe.
TechLo: Really fun 10 with some awesome circular 8th runs that go one way, then the other. Lots of reasonable stretch patterns with some easy 24th bursts, and a well-patterned triplet section for the last half. Definite yes.
The Man Crossing the Channel: Some of the rhythms seemed to have missed their mark by a 16th note, heh. There are some interesting ideas in here but the rhythms are very odd and a little inconsistent, plus some of the patterning is pretty awkward. Nah.
This Must Be A Dream: Those 12ths don't really seem to follow the vocals, and there is some pretty weird patterning throughout. No thanks.
Unspeakable: Generally uninteresting 9, with anchor rolls that are kind of broken because the frequency in which you have to hit them teeters right on the edge of the threshold. No.
Vi Sitter I Ventrilo Och Spelar DotA: So much unnecessary lateral turning and just general weird patterning. Not feeling it.
Vifta med Handerna: I can definitely see this being picked quite a bit in tournaments, with the varying rhythms and 12ths as well as the very tricky step jump patterns. Surprisingly pretty tiring. Yes.
We Met Dat Night: Pretty fun 11 with some varied rhythms and interesting patterns to keep things interesting for the first half, and plenty of 24th run action in the later half. Yes.
Wish: Pretty good chart overall. I was a little worried that it was going to keep that same gallop rhythm throughout the entire song but was pleasantly surprised when it was switched up, as well as the patterning becoming increasingly tougher over time. Yes.
Wish (remix): Pretty good presence of varied rhythms throughout the chart, but I'm not too sure about how well it flows. I say maybe, but I would certainly like to hear from other people on this one.
Y1: Seems like a borderline 9/10. There are some interesting backwards stretchy crossovers here and there, but otherwise kind of simple. Maybe.
You Are My Dream: Some interesting patterning used here with the 16th 3-note bursts, but the gallop sections seemed like way too much filler. Maybe.
You Wanna Me: A nice, slow song with swing rhythms throughout. The patterning looks interesting enough and the 24th runs are pretty well structured. I'll say yes.
