It makes the arrows miniature basically. It goes up to 200% mini.
For me it's usually Overhead, no mini.

I like Overhead + 20-40% mini, depending on chart density. I used to play 65% mini, but I got sick of how small the arrows were at that percentage. Whatever helps you get the highest scores is the best perspective for you though.
