First of all thank you so much for taking time to hear our problem! I have a lot of faith we'll find good help here so thanks again guys. Okay, We recently got a ITG 2 machine (an old DDR cabinet upgraded to ITG1 then to ITG2). I managed to get our custom songs on the hard drive thanks to Mute's Guide! (thanks man!!) There's a problem though, the edit-only song files don't work; the song shows up on the wheel, it plays preview music, but when we select the song, it has no arrows in it. This same error happens with all of the edit-only songs. I say edit-only because songs with light, med, heavy,...,edit files on it work fine; but files that have just edit only steps don't work. The songs are all formatted properly, and, for example, are things like: final destination, boss rush, cubed, etc from the mungyodance series. These same edit-only songs fail to load properly from: the hard drive, USB stick and step mania 3.95 BUT they load on stepmania 3.9. @.@. Have you heard of this kinda thing before? Any ideas on what to do? :/
Problem II: ITG 3 Theme
okay, so I tried to follow the Mute Guide on adding themes, but nothing sticks so far. So,
A). Does anyone have a link or copy of that ITG 3 theme that will work on a regular ITG 2 hacked cabinet? (its not dedicab or openITG)
B). What should the file path look like in my custom folder for themes? like, should it be
Hda05>Custom>Themes>Itg3>BgAnimations,scripts, blah, etc
or
Hda05>Custom>Themes>InTheGroove3>Itg3>BgAnimations, etc
and are there any requirements for the themes for them to work on arcade like do they had to be custom made for arcade (like openITG themes[?]) or can stepmania 3.95/3.9/4.0 themes work on it?
thanks again guys! I know it's a lot but I really would like to get this thing going with our songs working and, hopefully, a brand new theme going! (that openITG3 theme is NICE!) I'll be keeping check on this list alot so please chime in, I appreciate all the help any of you can offer and thanks do much for everything!
also thanks to r21 for keeping forums and website up and running! there are many of us who still enjoy Itg/DDR and so it's great to have a place to go, especially when there is a problem and information is short.
Thanks to Mute again! Your guide helped me get the custom songs on our hard drive and that was a huge deal for us so thanks again!! Now if I can only get a good custom theme going lol!!!!
okay thanks guys! cya and I really am looking forward to hearing your replies and potential solutions for this stuff!
