Got it today, and it's really awesome. The mashups range from good to really grooving good, and the difficulty has been satisfying so far. Gonna go explore it some more, but it's off to a great start.

The game is really cool. Sadly, my hand doesn't work well with scratching. Though I only played 4 songs, I went straight to Expert on the first song and 3 starred all of the 4 I played. They were all in the hardest tier, though they didn't really feel like it. I also watched my brother play the hardest song in the game, and holy crap, it's RETARDED.

I just unlocked a "very hard" song, I obviously try it on expert and get wrecked. Barely got 3 stars.

I'm so bad at long directional scratch sections with a lot of scratches in the same direction. I get confused a lot with those and often can't scratch those fast enough. That and crossfade spikes, those are so hard.

Yeah, there's way too much play in the crossfader. Thankfully you can use duct tape to make it better.

Well, I've spent a whole weekend with the game now, and I can safely say it's tons of fun. Most of the music is really good, and there's only a few tracks I don't ever want to go back to. The controller is great for scratching, and although the buttons on the platter aren't as nice as the ones on a iidx controller, they get the job done. It's unlike any other rhythm game I've played, and it fills the mashup/hip hop void perfectly.

I was initially concerned about the difficulty being too easy, and I was half right. I jumped right into expert and picked it up pretty quick, to the point where I've just tonight managed to 5 star groundhog. Despite that, there's so much room to improve my scores and compete on the leaderboards that it's really great fun to push for that perfect rewind and grab those couple extra points. Plus, there will always be beats and pieces, which I can't get over 2 stars on expert. Seriously, 4/5 stars all around except that one, it's hands down the hardest song in the game and it's in a league of it's own.

There's just so much new content that's presented in an original way that I'm going to be enjoying this for a while to come. Hoping for good dlc releases/dj hero 2 to continue adding more challenging mixes. Between stuff like the Tiesto/Benny Benassi mix and the ridiculous Beats and Pieces, there's potential for a variety of tough stuff.

Ok, so I've 4ed or better just about everything in the game

except Beats and Pieces (lol team no higher than 2 YES) and Groundhog (scraped a 3 on a sightread, wtf is that I mean really).

Anyone have techniques for strings of scratch chains that all face the same way?

This is what I have the most trouble with too. Usually I just press the button and move the turntable accordingly, then release the button and quickly back the turntable up before I press and scratch again (repeat until the chain is done). But some of them are so fast or long that I just can't keep up.

Another possibility is to just slowly spin the turntable in a circle while tapping the button for each scratch. It actually works, but the hard part is making sure you end the scratch section with the turntable back in it's correct position. Whenever I try this I always end up coming out backwards or something.

Either way, I have a feeling it's just one of the harder mechanics of the game, and it'll just take time to get better at it.

Yea, just played the Tiesto/Benassi remix, I think that song is the most compelling reason to add a fail mechanism to the game; such an easy 5*, but the ending is freaking impossible.

Also Groundhog is somehow harder on Hard than Expert. lol scroll speed

Also holy shit D-Code is actually in this game too somehow hahaha

I absolutely love the Tiesto/Benassi mix, one of my favorite songs to play. Nothing like rewinding the climax of that song.

Got about 4 1/2 on Groundhog expert today, it's really all about getting as many points as possible in the easy parts and mashing like hell through the hard parts.

Rockit is rather hard for me, also. I think that and Beats and Pieces will be the two hardest charts in the game for me to 5* on expert.

I just barely 5 starred rockit yesterday, it was really close. Saved euphoria for the tough fading parts and managed some decent rewinds. I'm also having a lot of trouble with the beastie boys/dj shadow mix, can barely get 4 stars on that. I'm glad the game is providing a good challenge on at least some of the tougher songs.

Also, the dj shadow/d-code mix is one of the best songs/charts. Sooooo much fun to play.

Is this only for PS3? :(

That said I can't wait to play it in a couple weeks when I raid your home.

I had no idea how to play this when I went to best buy.
I tried easy, and had no idea that you needed to use the crossfader.
Fail.
