:| it's interesting that you'd lump me in with kommissar of all people tho

p.s. the password to the vgmp3 archive is probably 'omgdidinsane'

p.p.s. rfpack2 is almost out. now with more spread bias

p.p.p.s HOPEFULLY the pack after that will be a solo pack of beginner files and awesomeness

p.p.p.p.s. spread is actually pretty fun have you tried it
you'll still be able to play normal files index/onehanded

I shouldn't have been so brash with that comment. I recently made the full conversion to playing spread, and the feel of the charts were a lot better. What sparked the comment is when I played your Bar Gain edit from ODI2. I enjoy challenges, but the jacks were so painful for me that it just wasn't fun. I enjoyed your Lawn Wake however, as well as a few others like your comp w/ Glove on 'The Dark Eternal Night', so I apologize for making a VERY broad generalization.

Kommisar is either hit or miss with me. Often times (IMO), I end up thinking his songs are way harder than they should be. Again, that's not to say I haven't enjoyed a few of his files. Kamaitachi was pretty cool.

aight :}

it really bothers me that everyone seems to like lawn wake IV because a. it's really half-assed and b. it brings back memories of glove rejecting thrash yet accepting that. I got him back though, thrash is in ffr now hehe

I guess I'll just go with it though. if anyone's curious my lineup for rfpack2 is

Right Now - makou
Radical Faith - TaQ
Pluto - Naoki
Marbles - Hrvatski
Shoot'Em All - Manabu Namiki (hard!)
Tripping Contact - kors k vs teranoid (hard!)

I'm tempted to make some more easy edits now tho; right now only Pluto has one

edit: also, on the dark eternal night, the oni chart is glove's and the heavy chart + sync is mine. it's a lot more 'feely' than glove's, hence the snare drum = two more arrows immediately!! thing I had going on and stuff. haha, glove basically took it over with his chart when he played it and didn't like it at all :}

and on the subject of dream theater, I want to step the ministry of lost souls' solo but I don't know if I can sit through syncing all those minute bpm changes without being reaaallly bored. blah dt

I know that feeling. =/
djOssa rejected my Demonheart submission for SMG1. I guess back in late 06/early 07 I was the only one who hasn't moved on past index. I've always been a pad stepper, so I never could really see myself note layering like others, and that's why a lot of my stuff is boring in comparison.

A lot of great spread artists like IAmMe and Zaghurim had to grow on me just because I sucked at the time SMG1+2 came out. Now that I actually play spread, it's easier for me to be more open-minded.

RF1 was fucking awesome, so I look forward to seeing what new stuff you have to offer. =]
Marbles is a great song.

I feel the way TEEX used to feel about spread. I need to get better at it.

Ever played Hard Songs Megapack 7 (or 3)?
A Ballad for Cetaka (Girlfriend) is unusually fun despite being stupidly hard for no reason. It cracks me up every time. :lol:

The Midare packs are artistic masterpieces. Only a genius could've thought of 24th hand jacks for Teeny Weeny String Bikini.

The Dark Chancellors Pack (aka rfpack2 or smgpack3 or whatever) is out. Spread only*. Comes with its own system of difficulty! That's right, keyboard files that aren't rated arbitrarily 11, 12 or 13 depending on the direction of the wind, how the simartist felt at the time and the phase of the moon.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/34a1zj

*This technically isn't true, since I've seen people pass stuff like Azul beginner and Rose beginner with only one-hand on youtube, so some of the files in this pack would be feasible. Still, very not-spread unfriendly.

EDIT: Oh, and there is only one midare pack-esque chart in the pack (anisakis beginner) plus one chart that's legitimately as hard as it (epileptic crisis heavy, standard has toned-down bursts tho).

I played through a bunch of songs in Dark Chancellor's Pack yesterday. It's not bad, but it seems people really went out of their way to step every fraction of sound they heard.
Epileptic Crisis on Standard is fun (AA'd on sightread). Heavy was just frustrating (B). Left-handed jacks and mines = not fun.

@Patashu: Awesome job on Marbles!

Wrong. I've only ever played index and created index files. I've never played/made spread files. :D

Wrong. My file was made for index by index. ;)

You're way too good at Index.
That said, the gimmicks in Skeletones are awesome.
