I've SDE'd 10 and 11 footers in ITG but I can't get less than like 30 greats on a 7 footer in DDR. Seriously, how do you people do it?

DDR has really odd sync to begin with.

If a song has a BPM of 150.17, they'll round it down to 150.00. While it might seem minuscule to them the file does eventually drift off sync. Same could be said for some of the ITG officials as well.

Customs? Not so much. People actually know how to sync properly, but it's not always a given.

Speaking as someone who has synced all of X2, X, SN2, SN, EX, and some older songs, this is rarely the case. The majority of the songs are a solid xxx.00 BPM, and there's only a few that noticeably drift, really. It's more of an offset issue if anything. Also, if a file was .17 BPM off, The song would drift by nearly a half note by the end. What you're talking about would be something like .01 or .02 at the most, and that's what ZIV did with the official simfiles.

Clearly achieved on hacked timing windows. Maybe even using a chair. Get the groove out of here with your cheating ways! Everyone knows that all perfects on Jump!^3 (that's what us pros call it) is impossible, anyways.

I AAA'd Ritmo Latino on horrible pads at this pizza place i haven't been to in 4 years.

I stomped the shit out of the pads and managed to get 2 screws to pop out
That's what they get for badly managing their pads

That's how I always play DDR. haha

Unless it's DDR extreme because that seems to be the only DDR version that doesn't require stomping to make the sensors work.

I'm pretty sure stomping is what causes the sensors to stick on the Extreme cabinet I play on. I say this because the sticking is generally worst after I play a hard 9, where I hit the panels harder than normal.

Tried some bar play last time I went. Got 86 greats, 3 goods, 2 boos, 11 misses on max 300 DH. Played EOTC DH with the bar several rounds later, and got 50 greats. Wow. I don't think I've done that bad on EOTC DH since the very first time I passed it.

Anyway, when I was no barring, I managed to get 4 greats and 1 pad miss on Kind Lady DH. Haven't scored that well on that in about a year, so that was kinda good.
I didn't stay as long as I had planned because I played Maxx Unlimited DH and got fed up with Konami's incredilbly incompetent step artists.

I got 9 on that once. I have since discovered that I will never SDG it again. Dunno why. Bugs me just as much as the fluke 9g on Ordinary World DH.

We need other people to post more in this thread. Oh wait, first we need some good charts from Konami.

Anyway, here's some stuff I did tonight.

I think it's been almost a year since I got 3 on this at the arcade. This was done with a 5lb weight in each hand. CSFILSM DH 4g is pretty nice for me.

Last October, I spent a lot of time trying just to FC this. Played it at Sporktoberfest and did fairly well, and haven't really played it since. Then I play it twice tonight and SDG it out of the blue. In spite of doing one section wrong that I spent a lot of time getting right.
screen34.jpg

One of the few good charts in DDR X. Still flawed, but not horrendously so like most of DDR.
screen35.jpg

Horatio DH seems a lot easier than it used to be. I should go for the FC. Just need to clean up the crossed-over gallop stepjumps and work on coming out of the 16th drills better. Probably the only good doubles chart among all the DDR X boss songs.

It's nothing special but it was the first time I have played a machine dance game in about a year. I think back in my "prime" this was my best score on this song. Now the only place to go is up :D

Xenon - 1 (last 20 steps yeah)
Sakura - 6 (5 in the middle slowdown, 1 in the intro, AAA'd from "that arrow" until the end)
So Deep - 1 (or if you count an SM cabinet with Extreme's timing window, a no-bar AAA)

Nothing else notable, since I only play extreme once every several months.
