Official DJ Max Technika Accomplishments Thread!

Postby shadowobsessed on Wed Jun 24, 2009 9:31 pm

Sure, I won't be able to play this game often, but it's awesome enough to deserve its own thread!

My accomplishment? Passing Dear My Lady the 3, and then Fate, the 5. XD I got a D, but I was really happy. The blister/callous on my finger from my finger I wear as a proud battle scar.

Nice job on Fate!

I haven't played in a couple of weeks, but the only accomplishments I can remember are:
Oblivion (3) - FC (A)
Your Own Miracle - pass (D) (hard for a 4 =/)
Supersonic - C (my first pass on a 5)
Landscape - C or D (still, my first pass on a 6)

So basically it's a touch-screen game. There's colored "buttons"; when the bar that's scrolling right to left (and left to right) overlaps them, that's when you tap them with your finger. The colors distinguish the kinds of buttons (as opposed to notes). For example, there's the ones you'd tap normally, and then there's the "holds" where you drag your finger across the screen. Since they don't distinguish 8ths, 16ths, etc., it's helpful to know the rhythm of the song in advance unless you like sightreading it on what would be kind of be the equivalent of "flat". The life difficulty is rough, so 4-5 missed notes can bring your life down a LOT, or possibly make you fail.

Sightreading it doesn't look as bad as sightreading an ouendan/elite beat agents chart, since you're given much better information on how rhythms are laid out.

Yeah, I still have a blister on my finger from playing this last week. I hit the glass screen way too hard.

I think my favorite types of notes are the purples you have to repeatedly tap on every beat, while you hit the regular note above it every other beat. It makes me happy.

It's worse than trying to read Ouendan/EBA charts.

The Son of Son SP chart for June.

those notes are kind of like rolls, you have to start out on the green dot and then drag it down the yellow path. You have to do it on the beat though, so the dots on the line are hit when the bar moves across them.

Well, I don't think there are any machines in Canda. :( According to this thread (http://www.bemanistyle.com/forum/f140/dj-max-technika-locations-thread-40438/) there are locations in:

Arizona,
California,
New Jersey,
New York,
and Texas.
