Well, to be honest, as a game itself SPM is alright. I've played through it six or seven times because it's really easy because sometimes it feels like there's more story than gameplay.

Nah, it's only better by technical things like running on a better system etc, but they're pretty much equally good.

Also Super Paper Mario is an amazing game.

I really like that one too. I think they're a little different, but really good in their own way. This coming from someone who played Thousand-Year Door first.

Paper Mario - really great n64 game that still holds up today

TTYD - best game in the series by far, top tier GCN game and still one of the best games ever

I can beat it in 10 hours, as opposed to TTYD when I ragequit a year ago during the Shadow Queen (oh right, spoilers) because I wasn't prepared at all. I have yet to get to that point again because I don't play console games too much anymore.
